Editors needed for exciting opportunity!

Hi everyone!
I've been stepping away from magic recently which means there are openings for article editors.
Article editors are responsible for reading through articles that are submitted and checking them through for mistakes.
This is a really big deal.
- You get to read content before anyone else.
- You'll be among a very small team responsible for making sure that articles goes up on the site smoothly.
- You will be granted access to the inner workings of the site.
- You will be a key member of the team for one of the most important MTG websites on the whole 'net.
You will be given power that most could only dream about.
The drawback? Well you just have to spell-check and grammar-check the articles that go up. That's it.
It's a big responsibility.
It's really important to the site.
The requirements:
- Good standard of English.
- Great eye for detail.
- Willingness to spend small amounts of time on a regular basis reading MTG content.
If interested just comment below!

I ams good at the grammars. But seriously. I'm down to help out. I've even written a couple articles for the site before, too, back in 2012 I believe.

I'm also around to help out. I sorta have article privs and am familiar with the portion of the admin panel that I have access to.

I'll also throw my help offer in. I have article privs as well and I like to think I'm decent at writing, reading, and editing.

As a Management and Data Analyst for the Military, writing is part of my "Bread & Butter".
I'd be glad to help where needed.

That feel when you want to participate, but your native language isn't English...

I already spend a small amount of time reading here every day, might as well get some prestige for it!

I wouldn't mind getting a bit of responsibility around the sight. I'm already on here multiple times every day. Lol.
September 23, 2016 5:15 p.m.
I am so interested. However, my grammar is worse than an American first-grade child. Still, given time, I could do the job.
September 23, 2016 5:36 p.m.
I would definitely be interested in the job, I hate seeing spelling and/or grammatical errors and I love reading stuff :)
Also, haha @Zakass :)

If I knew more about the sight I'd be first in line.
Best of luck to whoever does get the job though. It'll be a daunting task. But probably a lot of fun. Plus it gives the other editors a little bit of a break.

"Yep, I'm certainly interested."
"That feeling when you want to participate, but your native language isn't English..." (This is a bit unfair, given the user is not a native English speaker.)
"I wouldn't mind getting a bit of responsibility around the site. I'm already on here multiple times every day. Lol."
"If I knew more about the site I'd be first in line."
I used to be an English teacher.
In conclusion, this is NOT a role that I would enjoy. lol
September 23, 2016 9:10 p.m.
I would say I'm interested, but it looks like I'm at the back of the line.
But if you're looking at everybody, and not on a first-come-first-serve basis, I'd love to help.

A truer word has ne'er been spoken.
"However, if you're looking at everybody, and not on a first-come-first-served basis, I'd love to help.

Argeaux was my comment too purposefully incorrect? Damn...
September 23, 2016 9:34 p.m.
I was tempted Simon_Williamson, but someone who has a sophisticated understanding of the English language must be able to recognise humour, and make allowance for it.
That's the other issue - I am Australian.
Hence I would be required not to correct "get off of me" and "aluminum".
Then I would have to go and wash my hands.

When you read the bold red lettering after testing out the new T/O "highlight illegal cards in borders" feature. I thought I broke the site lol.

Plenty of volunteers already but I'll throw my hat into the ring.
September 24, 2016 12:49 a.m.
I volunteer as tribute!
I already mentally correct them all as I read them anyway, so I might as well do it before they're posted.
September 24, 2016 3:12 a.m.
Sign me up, good sir! I like grammar-checking anyway, considering it's what I usually do on our school paper.

I mean, we can certainly correct your grammar and spelling, but making an article good is on you.

I wonder how he is going to decide, Raging_Squiggle is ranked as the most active user on the site and is fairly popular. ducttapedeckbox is just as popular, has been using the site for 4 years and has some experience with/as an admin. I can't imagine most of us are candidates with users like these volunteering. At this point as much I'd enjoy editing I juat want to see how this goes.

I'd certainly love to help. I've got some time coming up, so I can restart up my own series again too.
September 24, 2016 4:58 p.m.
I have not been as active on this site as I would like to be. I enjoy editing and am happy to help. This would be a great opportunity for me to get more involved in the Tappedout community so I am offering my services to be an editor.

"Bless all of you souls who're willing to endure my kindergarten child level of English to turn it into a good article."
As far as who gets the gig it should be NONE of the people whose sentences I have corrected.
I you can't proof read your own work that does not bode well.
September 24, 2016 8:48 p.m.
Woot! According to Argeaux's previous post above, I am safe.
I do want to also note that I have coding experience. I recall the Tagged Thread, the one asking for Article Authors, mentions that this position would entail in some sort of dealings with TappedOut's infrastructure. Although, I do not know if it refers to actual script coding or markdown syntax. In either situation, I am readily qualified.
Once again, I do want to state that I am not the best with grammar. I would advise exhausting the list of better candidates before turning to me. Certainly, there must be better candidates seeded before me. I know I spend far too much of my time here on TappedOut already.

"Willingness to spend small amounts of time on a regular basis reading MTG content."
I kinda spend 50% of my time either here on the forums or on /r/MagicTCG. Other than that, I like to annoy people by fixing their spelling and grammar. I have no other qualifications that would raise me above anyone else, but this would be a cool opportunity. I'm down.
September 24, 2016 11:22 p.m.
Well Argeaux, I do believe the alterations you made to my post were largely dialectic or stylistic variations, which differ from region to region, but are not errors.

Argeaux, if all you have to say to everyone in this forum is rude or degrading, please don't say it at all.
Everyone makes mistakes, we're not infallible.

Yep, i'm certainly interested.
