Hi everyone!
I've been stepping away from magic recently which means there are openings for article editors.
Article editors are responsible for reading through articles that are submitted and checking them through for mistakes.
This is a really big deal.
- You get to read content before anyone else.
- You'll be among a very small team responsible for making sure that articles goes up on the site smoothly.
- You will be granted access to the inner workings of the site.
- You will be a key member of the team for one of the most important MTG websites on the whole 'net.
You will be given power that most could only dream about.
The drawback? Well you just have to spell-check and grammar-check the articles that go up. That's it.
It's a big responsibility.
It's really important to the site.
The requirements:
- Good standard of English.
- Great eye for detail.
- Willingness to spend small amounts of time on a regular basis reading MTG content.
If interested just comment below!
Feels like everyone and their mother has said this, but I would help

I guess I'll tag yeaGO here and we can discuss what the next step is.
I expect a number of you will be chosen together because having a larger team may be preferable here. And then yeaGO can hand out privs as he sees fit.

Got me, DevoidMage.
Luckily I'm not applying for the job.
You lose marks for using the word "Bro". Not everyone on this site is male, and that is a masculine pronoun, even if you are attempting to use it generically.
No, kanokarob. You misspelt kindergarten. If you are the first to come, you are the first that will be served.
Raging_Squiggle the role being applied for is one where you are required to proof read. I'm assisting with thinning the herd of applicants.
It has already been pointed out, and acknowledged by me, that I am being a bit of a prick.

Conspiracy: Take the Crown is a favourite set of mine. Damn I was hoping the typo would bother you more. Argeaux

Heh.
If poor spelling and bad grammar actually bothered me I'd never get to sleep at night after reading Tapped.out forums. My own posts included.
It is interesting that the card got through quality control.
Unless Wizards really think that we say, "at the beginning your end step".
I might just start saying that in games, now.

You like red magic and this forum happened.

Argeaux - Stop please.
Simon_Williamson - Stop please.
Unnecessary clutter. Believe it or not, I am able to proofread comments in this thread myself.

Are you going test competency? A couple of small test articles could let you know that they have what it takes.

We have a rough idea of others' prior posting habits so we have a weight of evidence supporting any choice.

I am very interested.
I've got free time and a pretty good grasp on the English language. I also have the internet, so that's good.

I'll pass. I just started a series here, and I don't want to let editing get in the way of that, or suffer for it either.
So if one of you guys winds up going over my stuff in the future, let me have it!

I never mentioned kindergarten, Argeaux. That was EpicFreddi.
I'll admit my mistake on the idiom usage. Though I do check my grammar and spelling, I'm not necessarily a master of sayings, and as such used the phrase in the manner that I've always heard it used, incorrectly.

I hope I wasn't acting like an illiterate in the past.

I'm interested. I read all the articles anyways and have been wondering if there are ways I can contribute more. I also already edit my friends college essays and have fun doing so.

I am interested in becoming a Keeper of the Sacred Word.
Are the articles generally in need of massive edits to wording and flow, or just minor fixes and replacements to help out the occasional Frazzled Editor?

I am very interested. Have not been playing Magic for all that long, but I am pretty enthusiastic about it. I have a college degree (although not in English), no job currently (so tons of free time and availability), and a great eye for detail as I used to work in the nuclear engineering field. Would love to hear back if you guys still need any help.

I have a degree in Media Editing and Writing, so this task would be right up my alley. Very interested.

I'm interested, i always wanted to have some sort of influence lol

I am most definitely interested! I proofread for my wife and my younger siblings all the time, and since I love Magic, this would be a very enjoyable experience!
I have lots of down time during the week at my regular job, and this would help pass the time.

I would be more than willing to help out if you have an open spot.

Lifa, in the address bar on the 404 page, delete the second tappedout and one of the surrounding " / " and you should see it clearly.

I'm getting the same issue, even after the proposed correction. It just brings me to another error page.
September 28, 2016 10:13 p.m.
I'ts occurring for me as well, despite the address bar alteration.
