Fancy Deck Description

TappedOut forum

I work pretty hard on my decks but they never get too much attention so I want to make the kinds of custom categories/deck explanations that in see in some other deck descriptions, but I don't see how I'd do that. Is it a premium feature or something?

I do know how to make custom deck categories, I just mean the description breakdown.

(1) I’m not super skilled with how this site works; there’s a TON it does that I haven’t even come close to trying out. (2) Keeping that in mind, here’s my first crack at help: do you mean the Hubs? Those are available towards the top of the page while you’re editing/creating your deck. I think you’re capped at something like three, but that seems reasonable. I’ve used those to efficiently creep around, looking at peoples decks, so maybe you’d benefit from that? If that’s not what you meant then I humbly request you rephrase the question for some of us in the back of the class :)

I don't make the really cool, custom backgrounds and layouts for decks like some people have, but this resource is really helpful for formatting and organizing the descrition section itslef. I hope it helps!

If you are talking about accordion panels you need to use markup language. There are buttons to get it in comments and stuff, but in deck descriptions I'm not sure. Here is the syntax you need to use.

===accordion
===panel:Title goes here
Content goes here
===endpanel
===panel:Title goes here
Content goes here
===endpanel
===endaccordion

In addition to the above, you can also request permission to post pictures, embed videos and gifs etc. Reach out to a site moderator and I’m sure they’ll help out.

TappedOut uses markdown, which is kind of a simplified version of HTML. You can also use CSS to change the colors and styles of the background elements, albeit I'm like 99% sure it's a premium feature.

HatchMichael18 Both Sliver and Cascade should be hubs in the checkbox section; they're not in the drop-down list. You need a certain number, I believe three, of cards with an ability or tribe for that checkbox to come up. If you have three Slivers and three cascade cards, and don't see it, let me know. If you only have one or two cards with cascade, but it's a key part of the deck, there is a way to add it.

Tribal has been discontinued as a hub in favor of the individual tribes.

Somehow not described yet but you may be talking about setting up the custom category drop down when sorting a decklist. You can set this up by typing "#text here" after your card in the editor.

To show an example go to my decklist Jeskai Ensoul and set the categories to custom to see them. You'll notice some cards are in multiple categories. An example of this is Bomat Courier. The code to do this in the deck card list is this: 3x Bomat Courier #Target #Utility

Good luck!
