Feature Request: TappedOut App deckcycling changes

TappedOut forum

I have the TappedOut App for iphone and I enjoy it, even though I know a lot of people were disappointed its only a deckcycle and notifications for your phone. I get what Yeago was going for, a free app that just allows you to be that much more connected, and I appreciate that.

That being said, could we decide which decks are listed, because the amount of times I've accidentally cycled the wrong deck... or even a private deck (why is that even a thing), is a little ridiculous.

Just something I've noticed and feel like it would be a semi easy fix to just hide different decks instead of displaying EVERY deck, or even just requiring a confirmation before it automatically cycles whatever deck you click first... which is really easy to do when its on a touch screen.

Not going to summon anyone unless this thread picks up some support since I'm sure all those guys are super busy, I just wanted to voice my thoughts and see if anyone else agrees.

Doesn't it show all unarchived decks?

Yes it shows all unarchived decks right now, but there are decks on the site that I haven't archived because I still update them, am actively working on them, or haven't published yet and are still private. These decks are easily organized here on the site, but in the app, its all just one long list to scroll through.

Also, thanks for taking time to reply.

I agree that private decks should not be able to be deck cycled. I don't cycle from app very often, but do see why that shouldn't be an option.

All unarchived decks, private too, ordered alphabetically. Can get messy if you have ~10 or more decks.

I've also cycled some decks by accident, but I wouldn't think that a confirmation deck is the solution. Maybe an option to select which decks are shown on the app?

Best regards, people

PS: I use the app regularly and it's pretty comfortable to use, wanted to say thanks for that :D

Having to manually select what shows up on the app seems lame. What about just order you edited them, and get rid of cycle for private

That would definitely be a step in the right direction I feel, as the most recently edited decks are generally the decks I'm cycling, and I'm sure that holds true for most users. I also agree that having all the decks have to manually chosen would be an annoyance, but still feel like users should have some control over what is displayed.

What if all unarchived decks are shown by default, but then there is an edit button that allows you to "hide" decks by like graying them out and disallowing deck cycle for the deck? This would allow users to still see which decks are listed, and easily manage which decks they wish to cycle.

Again, its awesome that you are taking an active interest in this issue, yeaGO. I was expecting some feedback from the community, but to have you directly contribute to this really shows how much you care about the community here, and I thank you for it.

You're sure they're not in the order you edited them already?

Yep, alphabetical for me.

I use android and the decks are organized by which I edited most recently. Also, you can only deckcycle public decks, private ones have a lock where the cycle button is. The only thing that is odd about the app is that I get two deckcycles a day and I have not upgraded yet.

@sirbar iOS doesn't have a lock symbol for private decks, and the button to cycle is the whole line where the name and colors are displayed (Android's the same?).

Weird is that you can cycle Private decks... maybe show an error message when you click on of those?

And why lame? All decks 'added' by default, but with the chance to unclick/uncheck them to remove them. Controlled by the users settings on the website, so there is no alterations to the app :P
