Featured Deck Improvements
TappedOut forum

yeaGO I think there's a couple of improvements that could be made to how featured decks are handled.
the first would be a time minimum for how long a deck is shown, before another replaces it. i literally just now saw a deck that didn't even last a full minute before being replaced. thats a real feel bad moment for the person using their hard earned feature token. i think at least 30 minutes, if not a full hour, would be fair.
the 2nd would be some sort of restriction on which specific decks can be featured. this could be something like the number of times the deck has already been featured, number of views, number of comments, or the age of the deck. i'm constantly seeing the same decks over and over again. its always "11.7% of the time it works every time", "om nom trample", "teysa karlov's double d's", and maybe a couple others. these particular decks have views in the tens of thousands, and several hundred comments already. i think its time to let other users share their creativity.
what does everyone else think about this? please share if you've tried to feature your deck, only to have it replaced a few minutes later by something with tens of thousands of views.
featured decks don't replace other featured decks, or take away from the time other featured decks have in some way... except for one place which would be the 'feature deck' on the front page, which just picks a random one from the queue.

yeaGO: the one on the front page is what i'm talking about, because isn't that the "only" one? its the only place i've ever seen "featured deck" on this site. what do you mean "random one from the queue"? don't you have to spend a feature token to have your deck show up there? if you have to spend a token, then how is that random?

You have to spend a token to put it into the queue, i believe, and each time you load tappedout it selects a random one i think.

Xianling69: there is a difference between deck cycling and the feature queue. You can deck cycle once (or 3 times with an upgraded account) each day, which shows up on the front page.
The feature queue costs tokens, but remains on display for longer (and is shown in a few places throughout the site).

I'm curious if we could a ticker for how many feature tokens have been used on a deck. I'm very curious how many om nom trample has used. Deck is always on the front page for me.

You can find out how many tokens you've spent on a deck by ... manually counting how many times you've featured a deck in your "features" section accessible from your drop down.

Femme_Fatale can I do that to see how many tokens other people have spent on decks? Or only my personal decks?

Only on feature tokens you have used. An example I once featured Graham's Bear Force One deck and it shows in my features section.

I agree with this. I remember featuring a deck a couple of months ago and it not getting much feedback because it was replaced kinda quickly. Though I did spend a token once to push a super stupid deck that i ended not building too, so XP
But overall, I'd say that this is a good idea if the function doesn't already exist
