Featured Deck Tokens

Are featured decks only supposed to be featured for nine minutes of fame? Because that's what my featured report tells me and to be honest I feel a little cheated, that tokens hold little to no value and are disgustingly overpriced. If anyone could give me some input that'd be great.

Your deck appears at the top of the page and is shown 1,000 times for a lousy dollar. It then enters the Feature Queue where it stays for 16 hours. If that dollar is too excruciating of a price, please do not pay it but plenty of others laugh their way all the way to the bank ...err FNM... on the rocketfuel of feedback that that option provides.

Ok you clearly didn't even read my post. It says it was up there for Nine Whole Minutes, and was clicked on nine times in that span of time (decent ratio but no one acted upon my list anyways). I will retract partially my comment of it being 'disgustingly overpriced' as I only remembered a $5 price tag; still it only gives you 10 minutes and you just have to hope that there will be somebody with my deck interests to be on at that perfect time seems a little much. Please don't get all moody with me only because I'm asking for an explanation of your system.

It probably took nine minutes for visitors to load 1000 pages.

And you didn't read mine, nor did you pay $5.

It may have only been up for 9 minutes this time, but being in the Feature Queue means that it will show up there more than once in that 16 hr period. The length of time it appears at the top is dependent on the number of decks loaded into the Feature Queue at that time. In addition, if you switch the the 'Feature' tab from the 'Most Recent' tab on the home page, you will see a list of decks rotating through the Feature Queue along with yours. The $1 price he was referring to is the cost per feature token if you purchase them separately from the $5 account upgrade.

@ yeaGO

ok this is getting a little childish (on both parts, i'm, not taunting) so we're just going to drop it from here.

@ Epochalyptik, ljs54321

That kind of answers my original question. I will just come to the conclusion that I was unlucky due to only getting 9/1000 clicks, and lasting 9 minutes. I'm not upset or anything I was only wondering how the featured system works since I have never done it before and I probably worded my question rashly. But thank you for your insight on this it cleared it up a bit.

The average featured deck gets 15 clicks, but the average featured EDH deck gets 13 clicks. Upgraded users also on average get more clicks (maybe because the name draws attention).

I featured it again. It got 8 clicks. I dunno man, maybe the name or description aren't interesting to people.

If you're thinking that the problem here is the featuring option provided by the site, the feature option is probably not for you. Traffic in the site comes and goes, and I have to agree with yeaGO here and just say that people weren't interested when it was up; So, better luck next time. No need to mumble and grumble for the lack of responses.

Well if he thought he paid $5 I can imagine being upset heh. Honestly I wonder if I somehow need to bucket EDH in search and featuring.

Holy shit you guys don't fucking quit do you? All I was asking is how the feature system works since, as I stated, I've used once and I just had a larger expectation. I also never expected that a mod, designer or what ever you are could be such a jackass. Two things I learned today.

I guess you missed the part where he said he refeatured your deck for you and double-checked your view stats.

Good thing we "dropped" this and stayed so mature through the whole thing. You really set me straight with this one yeaGO. Good to know we have such a supportive community staff.

@We_Are_Legion: You'll notice (or I guess you won't) that yeaGO investigated the problem, refeatured your deck, and did a comparison of the results for you, then considered a possible remedy. You're being a dick, now.

@ Epochalyptik: you'll notice (or i guess you haven't) that not only was he rude from the beginning, he continues to be sarcastic and insulting in any little comment he wishes to leave me with. I never asked him to re-feature my deck nor did it apparently matter, since it's apparently too 'uninteresting'. I couldn't give a crap if I'm being a dick if you're just going to sit there and let him try to get a reaction out of me, nor is your comments necessary in the slightest.
