FNM DeckCycle changes (IMPORTANT)

Hey all,
I revamped the way DeckCycling on Fridays is done. Before we had a thing called the 'FNM Queue'. That's gone now! Now its connected to the Meets! Section.
What does this mean!?
Your deck will need to be registered at a Meet! in order for you to deck-cycle on Fridays! Go ahead and register your decks tonight so you are ready tomorrow! Ask questions if you need help!
Good luck FNMers =)

Gotta say, not my favorite update. Not a huge deal though, I'm sure most people like it.

I agree it didn't go so well.
What were your problems with it specifically, Murderauder?

I didn't like the fact that I couldn't deckcycle at all if I didn't have a deck registered, plus with my upgraded account I get 3 deck cycles a day but I couldn't cycle my deck again the rest of the day because it said it was always already in the cycle.

well deck-cycling only for FNM is kinda a regular thing =P. There was an FNM queue before and what good is it if everyone just flags all their decks as FNM...

My main point there though is if the point of being able to cycle your deck on Friday is to get feedback before you go to FNM, then it would be helpful to actually cycle it more frequently however despite the fact that I have 3 times during the day to cycle, it would only let me cycle that deck once.
If someone does not go to FNM and thus does not register their deck then they can't use the deckcycling all day Friday. Not being able to use the most fundamental aspect of the website makes for plenty of frustration. I understand the purpose behind it, but from the standpoint of activity among users it seems to be restrictive, something that I think you were hoping against.

Oh, yeah that's a bug with the cycling system i need to fix.

I don't have a FNM around here anywhere. At the moment (and we are trying to fix that but it's slow going) We have a tourney once a month that falls on a Saturday. It kind of sucks that I can't deck cycle on Friday for preparation for the Saturday tourney.
I, too, understand the sentiment. I also wonder though how much time most people have Friday after they get home from work to cycle their deck, get ready, and make any relevant changes before they have to leave for the FNM. I know that I have about 0 time before a tourney if I work that day.
I understand the idea but I wonder if it will actually be utilized very much as typically, I deck cycle my decks all week when I have an event. That's when you get the feedback. It seems to me that the whole FNM thing is just more of an irritant to most people but I could be wrong. Even so, if it's the most irritating thing about the site I don't see that we have room to complain about it for real. It's still great.
Just my 2 cents, take them for what they are worth which is pretty much face value.

MTGO players are sad, no deckcycle on friday (or maybe i'll just create a shop somewhere in the antartic and register my decks there :p ).

Well, my beef was mostly just that I don't do FNMs (I play with a group on Mondays)- but I was totally willing to give up one day a week if everybody else was digging it. Seems like they weren't after all, but hey, ya' win some, ya' lose some.

Say we registered it at a former FNM, will it still be deckcycled or will be need to be registered at that weeks fnm?
