Help Wanted: Advanced Formatting

I have come a long way in terms of html scripting. What used to be a super-hard programming language is now as easy to understand as a word document. However, some word documents still confuse me.
I have looked at some very impressive decks (i.e.HandOverflowException), and have been amazed at the scripting ability of their creators. I have looked very hard at the formatting help thread and at the code of other decks, and have not yet found the answers to my questions.
What I would really like to know is:
A) How to change the image in the background
B) How to change the color/transparency of the boxes (so you can actually see the image behind them)
C) How to change the font of the page (I know how to change the font of the text I write, but I am talking about things like the "Upvote" and "Draw Hand" buttons)
Thanks!

I will say this every time someone asks, do not do css coding on your decks please. Restrict it to profiles only. People who are on mobile will not be able to load the pages properly, and it becomes an irritant to users who have to wade through overly sparkly decks.

All of those require a CSS file imported in from a host site, such as google drive or dropbox.
I recommend looking through FancyTuesday's tutorials to learn more. Here's an easy link to begin:
