Hovering to view cards on a phone...

Has anyone been able to find a way to hover over cards to see them with their phone?

I am using Firefox on an Android. I can navigate and use the site well with Firefox, but I can't find a way to reliably view cards without opening a new tab. I Google and there's all this chaos about hover function on touchscreen. I can think of several ways this could be fixed, but I can't find anything that will work.

I hope someone else can help me with something here. It seems like when I long hold they pop up sometimes but it's definitely not reliable and it's easier to just open a new tab usually lmao.

Thanx for any help.

I posted this as a site thread because at some point I think it is very site related. In my google searching it becomes clear that there are scripting ways to make hover work for phones/touchscreen.

A well as ultimately I'm trying to view the site itself.

I use chrome on Android. What I do is hold the link until a list of options comes up (open link, open in new tab, etc.). Then I touch elsewhere and the menu goes away and the picture is there waiting for me.

I do the same thing as Unforgivn_II at the moment, also using Chrome on Android. The biggest issue with that, though, is that if the card link is too far to the right of the comment box, it shrinks the card, to the point it is unreadable or just a thin black line.

Yeah, I try that sorry of thing, but that's why I say reliable. When I can get that to work, (which it doesn't always work :p) I find myself cursing because it'll end up going away halfway through reading the card lmao.

It seemed like it be easy to find an app to add a cursor you could move manually to activate hover, but I can't find anything.

On my iPhone, I just tap it once to make it appear, and tap it again to open it in a new link. I guess android is different.

Well, I suppose I've never actually tried that lmao. I've always assumed it would redirect the page because it's a link. Normally even when I want to open the link I hold and open in new tab... Suppose a test is in order lmao

Well, funny enough I kinda wanted to come back and say how stupid I felt lmao... No such luck. Tapping once opens the link. Also, holding till the menu, doesn't get the card to come up.

I stated playing around and think I figured out the trick... If I hold for about a second, it'll highlight the link, but then I shift the screen slightly, just before the menu pops up, it seems to leave the link targeted but cancels the activation of it and displays the card. Weird lmfao.

Wish I had a better option, but I suppose it'll work for now. Hope someone else finds something more reliable.
