How do I get the "My Other Decks" list on my deck-lists?

I've noticed quite a few new decks these days have this new "My Other Decks" list on the left of their description underneath the upvote, playtest deckcycle menu.

How do I get this list?

IKR!? I WANT! Excellent method of deck advertisement without use of deckcycles or feature tokens!

If you also look at the deck's owner's profile page, you'll see the deck-lists are organized in a different manner.

(I wonder if its a feature for upgraded users)

But I am an upgraded user ... and I don't see it anywhere.

Is there like, a second upgrade we have to take?

Just use the folder feature, click add to folder by the deckcycle button. It's for storage/organizing not advertising. Decks now display whatever folders they are contained in. Other users can add your decks to their folders for later viewing.

Disregard that, half awake mate.

oh yeah. its scrotality... he's a mad hacker

When the first words of a profile are "Im a software engineer" be prepared to be out-coded. Unless you too are a software engineer - then GAME ON!

hah hey guys - yea i wrote a couple scripts. i just like futzin' with things :D

honestly, they're not as performant as i would like them to be; for the deck pages i have to load the data from that users' page to get the deck stats, then the 'deck folders' page for that user to get the associated featured card images. as such, it is completely dependent on the current UI layout code that yeaGO has implemented, making it inherently brittle. that said, i think i have it setup to fail gracefully. but uh. you never really know until it fails! hah. same thing with the code i have written for the user profile page. for some reason that fails fairly often (i think its some kind of caching issue in the browser). i want to play with it more but my dang ol' real life job keeps gettin in the way :P

anyways... i would very much designate the following as 'use at your own risk':

Many thanks scrotality! I do love new things to tinker with!

grumbledore says... #16

hah totally - I'm in the same boat, lol.

oh one other thing - it loads any decks marked as 'Appears on Profile'.
more decks on profile = more data to load = longer draw times for deck pages.

fair warning, hah :D

Bah, the watchguard at work is screaming at me for cross site scripting. How dare I try to do something constructive!

grumbledore says... #18

hah! i work at home (remote employee for a company in the bay area) - my 'watchguard' is literally a 105 lb half-retarded labrador. he gives no shits for cross site scripting.

I was kidding about the upgraded users thing.

I had a slight thought that it was custom coding, but didn't want to put forth the effort to actually confirm it.

Please do not Reanimate old threads PepsiAddicted. All you had to to was demonstrate your appreciation on scrotality's profile.

In the end, do we have an answer for this thread? I tried copying scrotality's code, but didn't work.

i disabled that code

May 12, 2015 3:12 p.m.

EastsideRock says... #26

so how to post other decks in description?

May 12, 2015 4:09 p.m.

yeaGO says... #27

would scrotality be terribly offended if i just made this an ordinary feature?

this whole approach is real real brittle as you said :P

WOW! when I was researching how to do this this morning I didn't expect The Architect to reply me later in the day! Keep up the good work Sir, and may the 5$ I recently sent you to upgrade a few days ago help you maintain this wonderful site that I love!!

grumbledore says... #29

yeaGO - that would be epic, my friend. Wouldn't mind at all. Part of the reason I disabled it was because of the load it was putting on your system.

:) welcome to the party E-side.

EastsideRock says... #31

Hey sure thx guys. What I don't understand is that some users still manage to do it though!?

May 12, 2015 6:01 p.m.

grumbledore says... #32

i haven't seen that, but if i had to guess, i would say that they probably took my original script, un-commented the line that initialized the page layout code, and uploaded it to their own dropbox and then linked into it here :P

For example, ESTABAUSS has this feature in his decks. Now, I asked him how to do it and am impatiently waiting for an answer, I wonder what are the chances he actually replys me the exact same thing you just did lol.
