...To add a Promo option?

How * F * makes for Foil would it be possible to get a * P * option for Promos? Adding just the rare promos would be a huge step.

Thoughts?

I think yeaGO! should do it. And add the pictures of the recent tokens while he's at it. :P

I mean I'm not saying to add the Acidic Slime or Tectonic Edge promos but Restoration Angel etc should be able to be displayed.

The problem is that not only there are promos, but promos for different things.

You have MPR, Game Day, FNM, Prereleases and Judge Gift program. There is a LOT of promos out there. Don't forget all the random stuff like Grand Prix, Champs, and random store and product promos. (I own the Walmart promo or Terastodon !)

Hrm. Have you asked yeaGO! and/or squire1 ? Yeago handles a lot of the programming for the site and Squire1 handles most of the card-database images.

The problem right now is that T/O currently doesn't have (m)any promo images in its database.

True but just narrowing it down to rares wouldn't congest it as much as if he had the Boneyard Wurm or Acidic Slime promos as well.

Haven't asked them just wanted to get a general feeling of what to approach them with rather than go to them with an unpolished thought.

Just simply marking it * P * in a binder would help.

If outsourcing some of the database images is acceptable, then Magiccards.info seems to have a lot of promo card images. But for now, I agree that being able to mark it with a letter code like P would be great.

On a similar note, could we mark non-English cards using a little country flag beside the card name? We could have two or three letter codes like JP, IT, or ESP, RUS, etc, and then we could have more information without adding more card.

Again, it comes down having the card images. Adding 4 languages' worth of cards would literally mean 4x all of the work done on the entire database.

If you want to help, talk to squire1 . No guarantees, but that's the best place to start,

Read the comment more carefully, please. I said to add flag icons to the binder markup to indicate cards in other languages, so that the information can be communicated without scanning cards in additional languages.

That's exactly what I meant x754. Add flags to decks/binders/etc so that no one wold have to scan images in.

Sounds great! I actually tried that originally when entering my cards and was shocked when that didn't work! It seemed so natural. Awesome idea.
