You don't add a counter to an IP address. An IP address is the network location of a host. If you wanted to add a hit counter to something, you'd add it to a webpage.

There are some free third-party tracking tools that do what you're looking to do. We don't currently offer a hit counter that users can customize (although decks and threads do, by default, count views).
