How to add pre-cons to inventory

What is the best way to add precons to our inventory on the site? I have done a little bit of testing with the sync feature, but this doesn't seem like it works in a meaningful way.
I picked a card that I already had in my inventory (seedborn muse, battle bond) then created a new test deck with "1x seedborn muse [c19]" and checked off the "sync with inventory" option. At first glance, it looked promising since the preview of my card showed the proper set symbol.
To my disappointment though, it didn't add ANYTHING to my inventory. It just said "you already have a seedborn muse, that must be the one you're talking about" and completely ignored set info. If I had simply pasted the entire deck list instead of testing first, it would have made a huge mess of my inventory.
How can I mass add a list of cards to my inventory? Going one by one through the normal add card interface isn't a good solution when dealing with this many different cards. The API only supports read only access, correct? (meaning even if I wanted to attempt to make something on my own, it wouldn't have the access needed to let it insert to my library)
Playing a little bit more, what I've discovered is that having those cards show up in the inventory doesn't actually alter the inventory, it's just putting them in another source to pull from when the list is generated.
If I create a test deck and sync it, the cards will show up (but my inventory last change date will remain unchanged).
If I then proceed to delete the deck (or uncheck the sync option) the cards will be REMOVED from my inventory. This means that if I want to add precons, I have to permanently keep them cluttering up my deck library. This really isn't a viable solution, which brings me back to my question in the OP, how can I mass-add to my inventory?

Managed to come up with a solution for what I'm trying to do. Posting incase it helps anyone else trying to do the same thing.
If you create a list (as opposed to a deck), once you're done you'll see a green "add to inventory" button. This will add add everything to the inventory in a permanent manner (and if a card already is in there, it will give it a +1). Deleting the list after does NOT remove the cards from your inventory.

Actually, there might have just been a bit of a delay. Waited a few minutes, hit f5, and there was nothing. Looked again after posting this, and it showed up. I'll do some more testing to make sure I have a good idea of how everything will be handled before hitting submit.
