How to Change Basic Land Art?

I'm trying to add Battle for Zendikar lands to my deck, and I know there are different variants that are within the Battle for Zendikar printing set, but I can't figure out how to choose from these variants. Thanks in advance.

Didn't mean to post. I couldn't figure it out.

QuilavaUchiha,
You have to enter them as Alters. E.g., go to the Plains page and find the Browse Alters button, then enter the Alter code:

[[Plains *A=5630*]]
Plains

Do not enter them as alters. Never enter them as alters. Pls just use the submission form to put the basic lands in. I'm tired of having our alters database get cluttered with things that are not alters.

Femme_Fatale,
Hi Femme, it's good to see you again!

We still have to use the Alter code though to get them to show up in our decks, right? Or is there some other way to get the "altered" card images to show up?

Thanks in advance!

Um no, don't use the alters database for basic lands. Use the card submission form. It lets you put in alternate printings now. Make sure you put it in the right slot by checking the set number of the card.

Femme_Fatale,
We may be talking past each other :-)

I didn't mean, "How does someone enter an alternate printing into the database in the first place?" Instead, I meant to ask, "What text do I enter in my decklist to get the printing I want to show up?"

For example, if I enter [[Plains (BFZ)]] in my decklist I'm going to get this one: Plains. And if I enter [[Plains *A=5630*]] I get this one: Plains.

Is there a better way now to get the second (yellow) one?

As always: Thanks!

Hi Femme_Fatale and clayperce,

I'm trying to create a decklist consisting only of the basic land arts I like for quick reference when I'm creating decks (and so I can throw out the other basic lands that are taking up valuable space in the garage). Here is the deck link:basic lands. The hover-over does not display the correct basic land art if that specific version is not in the alters database.

In the decklist, I've referenced three Mountains: 439604, 410063 and 401962. However, the on-hover in the deck page displays 459997. Clicking the alter link to the mountains in the decklist (obviously) points to a 404 - example: Mountain , as the alter does not exist within the alters database, thus indicating that the mountain arts SHOULD be in the alter database.

I've also noted you have to specify "1x" before each basic land with a different multiverseID, otherwise submitting the changes will ignore other basic lands with the same name.

Can you please confirm this is the case?

Correction to the above comment:

We're required to specify at least 1 copy of each basic land with a multiverseID. If you edit the deck as just the following, it does not submit those cards to the deck:

[[Mountain *A: 401962*]]
[[Mountain *A: 410063*]]
[[Mountain *A: 439604*]]

Zaes, it's because you are using the alter code. This is the proper thing to do:

Cardname (TLA:Gatherer ID)
Cardname (TLA:Card Number)
1x Mountain (UN3:439604)
1x Mountain (UN3:215)

If you are uncertain on how to write anything out, check the formatting tips link below the comment box.

(I want to mention that the TLA for some sets are incorrect since others added those instead of me, but cannot be changed ever, so check the card page for the TLA used.)
