How to Outline Description Text

I feel kinda dumb asking this, but let's say that I had something along the lines of this in my description:

Here's my example!

How could I add a black outline to it so it stands out better?

You could use text-shadow with no offset to give it a soft outline, or you could many text-shadows with various pixel offsets and no blur to give it a hard outline

Just one shadow

Six shadows offset opposite each other
