Inventory Editing
TappedOut forum

Not seeing this question through the few pages I have dug through. I apologize if this has been asked before.
I added a list to my inventory yesterday. Now I want to update that list with a new complete inventory paste. I cannot find a bulk edit for my inventory or a "delete inventory". It appears I could individually delete each line in the inventory? Any suggestions on bulk edits to my inventory including deletion?

Because I am managing my inventory using "Decked Builder" so I would want to bulk replace my inventory. Ultimately what I want to do is use the deck finder ability with my inventory that I have build elsewhere. If I could goto deck finder and paste in a list of cards that would work too?

I keep master haves/wants/inventory lists in Excel and copy/paste the lists into TappedOut on a weekly basis (usually after FNM). This new method seems much more complicated in my individual case.
I do love the new Inventory options, though I would like to also have the old mass-entry option.

Same question, why not just maintain changes via the site?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I used to solely use the site but found my binder getting very outdated. Once I switched to an Excel sheet, I was updating it for each trade/change. Nothing changed with the site, and I'm really not sure why I'm more likely to update Excel.
I do notice that the Binder haves/wants and Inventory are now completely separate, is that temporary or am I missing a place to see them all together?

its temporary. we had them merged together and the option will be coming back soon.

I used DeckedBuilder which has a photo recognition system that I can simply flash my cards at the camera and it recognizes them and adds them to my inventory. It's INCREDIBLY useful and efficient. I wouldn't use any other method and would hate to have to maintain two lists.

okay well i nuked your inventory, go ahead an re-upload. I will think about how to handle your use-case to make it convenient for you to use the site. the truth is that the old method of adding cards is very slow and I want the site to be able to support inventories that are very huge (10K+). The new style editing can do this. The list edit is pretty limited.

I am a huge fan of everything you do here, YG, and you even fixed the finding a deck via inventory for me. That was one thing that was causing me to not use this site for inventory management. It is a shame that I am now unable to edit my inventory via the old method. Because of this, I am still unable to consider using this site for more than a deck finder.
Maybe providing us with an option to sync with Dropbox for use with .coll2 format that is used by Decked Builder? Even supporting the common MTG collection and deck file formats would be a big help. In the end, having the ability to mass edit a huge collection is better for the end user and I am glad that I read your intent to bring it back soon.
I am also a user of this app. I only use this website to find decks that I want to try out. I do not want to try maintaining more than one collection. Decked Builder is simply easier to use for collection management and I am on iPhone as well. Of course, this would mean that we would still be using something other than your website to maintain our inventories. However, you may find that supporting other formats might help direct even more traffic to the site.

i got to say that the new way of mass enter or single entering the cards in the inventory is not really friendly. It was working way better before this update
September 2, 2016 2:14 p.m.
yes but the old was mixing the mass entry and the single entry so it was much easier to figure the entry while entering the cards, and to see if we were making a mistake, then when we where pressing enter to enter a single, the cursor was going back to the name card square, not now. More clicking and time lost (as I have 8k cards to enter ;) )

nicobye well an inventory of 8k cards wouldn't very quickly work. fixed that cursor problem though. if there's anything else you can suggest to make mass editing easier let me know. it shouldn't be much different, just a delay in getting the errors if there were any.

i can do that for you. in the future, do you think you will be using this method to update your inventory? why not just make the changes to your inventory directly instead of in the list?
