Invisible banner bottom screen

TappedOut forum

At the bottom of the screen there appears to be an invisible banner that prevents you from clicking on the various icons and buttons. To give an example, in the "live edit" when I go to modify the parameters of a card using the appropriate "wrench" button (edition, quantity, language, categories, etc ...), if there are too many strings editable it is impossible to click on "save / dismiss / delete".

Only I have this problem? has this problem already been solved?

This is a known issue with adblock. Normally there is an ad banner down the bottom of the screen, however while adblock hides the ad, the banner still covers the buttons.

I hate to say but its not the add block that's doing it. I have it disabled for the site as I don't mind the odd add for the service it provides and its still just a blank box that blocks the screen.

Hey, it's called sticky-ad-footer. You can block it with your browser adblocker. In Chrome with AdGuard AdBlocker extension enabled on this site you can block individual parts of TappedOut with the block element option.

  • Right click the TappedOut logo at the top of the site. You will see option for AdGuard AdBlocker with an arrow to the right. Rollover that arrow and then select Block an Element...
  • The Element Blocking window will appear and then click on the select a different element button.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the site and find div sticky-ad-footer.
  • Rollover to highlight div sticky-ad-footer in green then click on it.
  • Last, click on the red block button.
  • If you're not sure if you clicked on div sticky-ad-footer then before you click block instead click on preview button to see if it's actually gone then block.

You might still have some other adblocker running then, because adblockers also blocks the button that lets you remove that sticky-ad-footer. Removing all adblockers will bring back that button. It's an issue that we have so far been unable to fix ever since adblockers became more automatic.

tisu93: This should be solved, but don't know for how long. I contacted the folks at easylist who manage the primary ad space block list for all primary adblockers to see if they can remove it and that seems to have solved it.

For now.
