Just a crazy thought...
TappedOut forum

Any way to which twitter accounts could be linked into Tappedout.net?
The reason for this thought would be that as soon as you build a deck idea, you could (possibly) hit a button that could send a message to your twitter feed to broadcast the deck name, and a link to tappedout's website. Thus possibly attracting others to this site, and more importantly the deck idea in question.
What's your thoughts on this? Would anyone make use of it? Would it be worthy of considering?
Guess it's just a case of implimenting the api for the respective packages. If that could be done I would think it an awesome feature, but like ya say, thats a suggestion for something further down the line.

The problem is that I wouldn't really want to tell the world that I play magic the gathering... It's not respected in my social groups...

Well not everyone may want to use this, but I know I would. I am a person with many different groups of friends, but I make sure all of them know I am a nerd at heart and play games like Magic, Guild Wars, Fable, ect.

"there are no crazy thoughts, just crazy people"
:P
@idea: i'm not sure a) how many people would use it and b) how many people it would attract proportional to the time required to make it work.
@zerotimestatechamp: :( this makes me sad. why not?

Zylo -- AND WHY NOT =)
zerotime -- bust outta that proverbial closet sucka.
I'll be researching this feature this week and I'll post here when I come up with something.

I go to class each day. Practice marching band. Lift. Hang out with people at my dorm. But I have a secret. This secret is tappedout. I haven't played magic in many months. However I must build more decks. Its insatiable. Just one card can get a deck to begin forming in my head. The longer I put off building it the more intent the deck gets about being built. It screams at me. All my decks are prototypes. I have never actually purchased or traded for cards I would require. I own about two thousand cards from about 7th edition to onslaught. They are worthless. I live this life and I've accepted it. However its balanced ever so carefully. One ripple might break the surface tension. Facebook&Tappedout would be a tidal wave.

D: this is unfortunate. our marching band director sucks...which is why i'm not in marching band :P
your friends probably have the wrong impression about magic. it's not necessarily the game that all those weird kids over in the corner play...playing at a high level requires considerable intelligence and concentration. some of the smartest and most awesome people I know play magic.

This isn't a convenient way of doing things, so if the suggestion is obvious please excuse me, but you could go to the deck's page, copy the address, and then drop it into www.ow.ly and shrink the address down so that it will fit into a tweet.
Owly is what I use, but there are many other sites that do the same thing.
It is like 5 steps instead of 1, but it won't send zerotimestatechamp's life spiraling out of control. :/

I could goto the steps mentioned, but ya know what? I'm lazy :)
But moreso than that, the ability to send a link to a deck idea through a button would be nice, quick, and painless...
(The link account could be setup through the user's profile page)
Oh, and the problem I have with URL shortening services??? You don't actually know what that link goes to until you click on it, hence why I don't like to use things like that. :(
(It's how virus's and trojans spread)

I added a twitter link to all decks. Lemme know if this works out for you.

Is there any way to add a Facebook function for us non-twitter users?

My trade binder has not been updated in some time, and I have a LOT of unlisted- many of them Modern, Standard staples and foils.. (Griselbrand, etc.)
I'm looking to complete these sets:
I am also looking for Eidolon of the Great Revel, and will trade for those.

Ehh... I hate twitter, but that's just me. I have several arguments I could go on a rant about twitter, but here's not the time nor place. However, I would love this for something such as Facebook, and I would always use it. Though, personally, I don't think either of these possibilities will happen or could happen easily.
