Just noticed the addition to Q&A
TappedOut forum

Now, if you want to ask a question, it gives you some options! Like, if you wanna ask a rules question, it lets you continue through the Q&A. But if you wanna ask about the site, it links you to this forum! And if you wanna ask about a deck, it links to the Deck Help forums!
I don't know if this was announced, and I don't know how long it's been there (it's been a while since I asked a question; usually I answer them these days), but it's cool!
I did a post a while back about the same thing, but it's still really cool. I think that the heading should be "MTG RULES Q&A" or have a link on the forums page about asking questions, but the splash page is really cool.

I think the site operators should be given the credit for trying to direct people though. I like that they did that also. It's not their fault if folks don't read the signs.

Yeah, I think Epoch did it a little while ago. I've seen him commenting about it a lot recently.

I added that a few weeks ago. I think. Time doesn't mean anything to me anymore.
The basic idea was to implement a system that would stop at least the majority of misplaced questions. It worked for a while, but I see we're starting to have non-rules questions pop up in the Q&A again. We also have an annoying number of rules posts in the forums. But I can't really change that.

As always, if you have suggestions, let me know. Even if we don't implement them, it's good to have feedback and get ideas going.

Epochalyptik, can't you create a new page that lets you post and then choose the forum you're posting to. For example, a page that looks something like the text I'm laying out:
Forum Post Title
Forum post goes here
Is this a rules question
Do you want help with the deck
(And so on, for all the different forums...)
Preview, then forum, button
So, the big differences is the one page for every forum and that you get asked questions about what you want to post to instead of posting to a forum.

Yeah, it's pretty nifty. Unfortunately, a lot of people still seem to not read that page and ask their question in the wrong place anyway...
