Let's Add Some Cards- M15

I don't think there's been one off these threads yet , so I apologize if there is.
Basically, let's add the M15 cards. A good chunk have been spoiled, so if you're upgraded, let's get started.
I'll start: these cards are already in the database.
Note that you don't have to include images at first as long as you include the card data, but it will make it easier for us later.
Also tagging Dritz and tempest since I know they have experience in these uploading things.

Also Epochalyptik, the subtype Ogre Spirit needs to be added to the database for Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient. Thanks!

Submitted Boonweaver Giant, Aggressive Mining, Generator Servant, Goblin Rabblemaster, and Kird Chieftain.

I'm only about forever late because of my new work schedule. But, for the record I use magiccards.info for cards that have been out for some time (read promo versions that still are not all there). And I use Mythic Spoiler or MTG Salvation for almost everything else. Again, a big kudos to everyone working on this. I have card approval capacities but I've been ultra swamped. If you have a chunk of cards submitted and need them to be added (partially so that others don't also try to add them as well) then drop a link on my wall. I'll try to be around to check more often.

Also: WTF is with this jarglemess. I'm going to find myself someone who had a role in messing with the nice borders on the cards and jargle his head till he faints. This is SOOO much more difficult to do with gyazo now!

Yes, some of the cards have been uploaded without having the borders cropped. I've been working on replacing them, but it is slow going because of the annoyances of real life.

Or yeah, that too, I meant what the guys working for MTG did with M15's borders. I completely forgot about how they changed it to have the original border cut short of barely the bottom of the card. It angers me. It angers me a lot.

I know it is a bit much to ask of yeaGO here considering I just got back ... but can I perhaps have admin access to the card database? I'm going to be fixing every single card I can in M15 (and of course, past cards, just like the old days) and would like to be able to see the results right away if you don't mind.
Also, I think a good crop resolution is 243 x 348 off of the Wizard's of the Coast's Card Image Database.

I have also found the Wizards ID for each card. Starting with the first one in the alphabet on the set M15 it is 383160. So as you go down the alphabet you'll go down in numbers. Unfortunately, there is no alphabetical order on the wizards database, so you'll gave to go through all the colours and figure it out manually.

I've got a method now ... I'm just going to crop and save each [M15] image, and then I'll be able to figure out the alphabetical order. I won't however be able to finish today ... it'll take a while.

Is there anything you guys would like help with? I've added a dozen or two cards, but you seem to have a very specific method to adding them.
Were the cards I did submit acceptable? They were accepted but I want to make sure that everything was correct with them.

Were the borders on the cards I submitted (err I think Goblin Kaboomist , Jorubai Murk Lurker and Cruel Sadist are among ones that I've added.. I think...) ok? I just get the images from the Wizard's M15 card database and don't crop the images.. They don't look bad but they do have that little white around the edge.. I don't want you to have to re-do what's already been done (/attempted)!

You HAVE to crop them. Rule number one when obtaining images, is to crop them. Rule number two is to get the best quality and highest resolution images possible. Rule number three is to crop them close to a set guideline. Just following Rule number one and two is pretty good. As different people have different cropping criteria.

What criteria do you recommend me following? I can start fixing the ones I've submitted and adding more later and tomorrow.
I also have left the Wizards ID blank. Should I wait to add more until you've figured out each card's number?

I'm doing 243 x 348 as my basic criteria. Normally I would do 245 x 350 (for these ones anyways, as M15 is a different size than the rest), but I found that one pixel of the black card border, while fancy, has a tendency to blur the texts of cards EVER SO SLIGHTLY. Also, don't take the images from gatherer if you can (Most duel decks, mtgo sets, etc are only available on gatherer however. Basically anything not a major release). They are too small and end up making the images blurry. Take the images straight from the Wizards of the Coast's website via the Card Image database. They are hard to find, but someone else generally has the link to them.
If you found a site that has the images like, some 360 x 480 (random numbers) use them and inform someone else who is well versed in the card image database. Larger images like that can either A) have some form of textual or graphical flaw or B) the shading is different, IE, can be lighter or darker than normal. We don't want images like those, as they can be distracting to those of us who know the cards well. Other than that, you can easily tell when an image has a large resolution, because they are MUCH crisper.

A little bit more info: The black will be the hardest to crop, because the colour clash between the textured border and the plain border. I'll present a few images that should help set some criteria.
If you notice, there is very small pixel corner, probably about 3 pixels. And down at the bottom, there is an evident black pixel line, this is necessary to keep the entire text, because if you cropped one pixel higher, you would cut off a small portion of the bottom parts of the text. Final notice is that the other 3 sides do not have a plain black border.

Ahh there is much more of science behind this than I had anticipated. Thanks for the guidelines. I'll try to get some added in tomorrow. Do you know how caught up we are with submitted cards versus accepted submissions? Once that ratio is down, I'll start submitting so I know what's done and needs to be fixed.

Utterly no idea, only users with admin access can accept submissions. I don't have that kind of admin access (though am hoping yeaGO or maybe even Epochalyptik can grant me this access) so I can't say for sure just how far we are on this. We would be much further if I had said access I am sure.

I almost think that there should be a page that lists who has access to what. That way there isn't a question of who to go to about what, or maybe it'll take some of the pressure off of YeaGo and Epoch.
Anyways, I might do the artifacts that haven't been added tomorrow. I'll do a few and wait for them to be approved and see what you think before I continue.

Crap, just hit a bit of a road block when alphabetizing the M15 cards. Will the extra 15 cards that only appear in the Sample Decks be included within the list of the other M15 cards, or will they have their own list after the rest?
