Old Stuff That is no Longer Relevant Show

Battlebond cards still show up as illegal in EDH/Commander. (example: Activate Kraj!) I haven't checked, but I'd guess that they're also being marked as illegal in Legacy and Vintage.

Several set codes are incorrect (see this thread).

yes sorry about that, still debugging something strange going on with how the format legality inheritance works. never fear, we'll get it right, soon

June 12, 2018 12:53 a.m.

All of the Duel Decks: Anthology sets are missing. Their set codes are DVD (Duel Decks Anthology: Divine vs. Demonic), JVC (Duel Decks Anthology: Jace vs. Chandra), EVG (Duel Decks Anthology: Elves vs. Goblins), and GVL (Duel Decks Anthology: Garruk vs. Liliana).

The original Duel Decks: Elves vs. Goblins currently has the set code EVG but should be DD1.

June 12, 2018 12:46 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #4

Changing set codes actually breaks pretty much all the cards in that set SpaghettiToastBook.

I don't see why we should separate the Anthology product into seperate sets when it is just one product. It'd be like having a new set for each commander deck in the commander anthology or any other commander product. The full duel decks Anthology TLA is DD3. I'll add it now.

Further, Duel Decks: Elves vs Goblins is EVG. Check their product page to clarify any confusion.

June 12, 2018 11:06 p.m.

The reason would be so that people can mark the printing of each card in their decks, preferably with the TLA printed on the cards.

I can see why you wouldn't want to break a bunch of cards, though. Wizards doesn't seem to be that consistent with their TLAs anyway.

The card "In Garruk's Wake" from the set Magic Core Set 2015 is not available to add to decks.

Reproduction Steps:
1. go to the deck editor for any deck, even a new one
2. go to the advanced search option
3. search for "In Garruk's Wake" (no quotes)
4. Observe that the card does not appear in the results.
Note that this is in fact a Magic: The Gathering Card (link from Wizards of the Coast's site http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=420730)

Why not just add it without using the search function sylyr?

Just wanted to ask - for many months now the spoiler view does not update after making an update to the deck. Sometimes it takes hours. It used to update immediately, and I could refresh to use it as a quick way to look over all my deck changes.

Is there any plan to fix how it updates? or is this now a permanent change? Thanks.

It seems there is an issue with shared decks. I have ownership of a deck and have selected shared editing but when the other owner of the deck saves an edit it revokes shared editing.

I've had a persistent issue with the site automatically switching to what appears to be a mobile mode even while I am on desktop. Previously this has had something to do with the size of my web browser but now it looks like it is constantly on the mobile version and I am missing features because of it, most notably the deck test and the deck statistics features.

Additionally, I just had a rather disappointing bug happen where I spent a rather long time perfecting a Gifts Ungiven deck for modern, saved it, edited it a few times, saving it with each iteration. Then I closed the tab to see if that would fix the above bug about the mobile version showing (it didn't). What's worse is when I came back, the Gifts deck I had been working on was completely gone, as though it had never existed.

There's a bug that I've experienced multiple times, which usually fixes itself over time, but is a persistent annoyance; I make an update to a deck, then save. When I pull the deck up, the decklist will reflect my changes, but if I attempt to do a v1 play test, it's still the old deck from before my edit. What can I do to prevent this/deal with this?

July 1, 2018 4:38 p.m.

I don't know if it's been reported yet, but my binder (and I'm assuming many others) are screwed up at the moment.

Firstly, my public want list contains every card that has ever been on my want list. Not just the ones that I currently want (the ones I have listed when I edit my binder).

Secondly, when I remove cards from my have list, my have list still shows that I have them. However, it doesn't show every card I have ever had, only the ones that have been in my have list since the bug started appearing.

Finally, it's super sluggish. Re-ordering by category or changing pages in the binder takes a long time (on the order of 10 seconds).

This has been around for a few weeks. Usually these kinds of problems disappear more quickly, but since it's still there, I figured I'd report it.

I'd like to report a small bug in the Deck Folder menu, where a lot of card art doesn't show correctly. You can see parts of the surrounding card. This is a relatively new issue, since the same decks showed up correctly a few months ago. Here are few examples:

July 6, 2018 2:12 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #20

Wormple12 that is an issue with how the cards are cropped. Incorrectly cropped cards will result in the preview for the card not showing up properly.

July 6, 2018 2:15 p.m.

jugglervr says... #21

issue with inventory "As Board" free edit. If I try to edit and save, any card that had a printing in A25 gets saved as M25, and then subsequent saves complain: "Printings not found: Ancient Stirrings (M25), Armageddon (M25), Azusa, Lost but Seeking (M25), etc etc"

workaround is to paste the list into word and then excel to trim the set extensions and re-paste into the text field. Every time I'm paranoid I'm going to bork my collection.

July 6, 2018 5:12 p.m.

Rzepkanut says... #22

Is there a reason we can't sort our Inventory page by "Synced"? All the other columns are options to sort by, and I'd love to easily see which cards I have the most of in my inventory.

Thanks!

I cannot have more than one Relentless Rats or Rat Colony in my EDH deck unless I check "is prototype."

Wouldn't this affect it from being indexed on the site? Is there a way around this with a tag?

July 10, 2018 10:30 a.m.

ivaggione says... #24

Ishio this should be fixed, just un-check is prototype and save the deck again. Let me know if you have any other issues.

Wormple12 says... #26

Femme_Fatale Probably true, although it's weird that it's only an issue in the deck folder menu and not anywhere else. I suppose they're using two different preview settings in those places. Just hoping that my report here means it's going to be fixed some time in the future :)

July 10, 2018 11:28 a.m.

Femme_Fatale I've noticed Wormple12's problem too, and it's happening exclusively with alters for me. I deduced similarly that it was a cropping issue, or possibly a size issue with the alter image.

So as a test, I took the "official image" directly from a card's page, (inspect element tells me this is the same image used as a default for the deck preview), edited right on top of that image, and uploaded it as a test alter. The sizing and cropping are unchanged. The result is the same -- I have misalignment in the deck folder despite using the same size and cropping of the official image on the card's page.

When I use the alter, it seems to be using a thumbnail version of the image, IE instead of using "http://static.tappedout.net/alter-cards/Piogre/tester.png" in the deck folder (the one I uploaded), it's using "http://static.tappedout.net/cache/43/a0/43a080e9948d5791adc2bc04b4e0a2d2.png", which is smaller in size. It seems like this might be the cause.

July 11, 2018 6:45 a.m. Edited.

Femme_Fatale says... #28

Piogre: The 198x285 is the size of the card image overlay. All card croppings must be of a dimension that has the a ratio that is closest to 198x285 for clarity and for the preview image.

EasyPeezy says... #29

Has anyone reported the issue with HTML inserts of pictures not working in the deck descriptions?

July 12, 2018 1:41 p.m.

Wormple12 says... #30

Piogre and Femme_Fatale, my issue has nothing to do with alters, it's the normal card images having cropping issues, for instance Hamletback Giant. Femme_Fatale, you sound like it's something I can fix on my own? I don't understand how, since it must be an issue in a TappedOut database that contains image cropping data, is it not? Otherwise, could you guide me through the process of fixing this?

July 12, 2018 2:07 p.m.

Femme_Fatale Ok, uploaded a new alter with an image exactly 198x285

http://tappedout.net/alter/14655/ -- with image http://static.tappedout.net/alter-cards/Piogre/tester_7Ljtqz2.png

and the problem is still happening:

I should note that non-alters are showing on the deck folder NOT as 198x285 images but rather showing 243x349 such as http://static.tappedout.net/mtg-cards/Khans-of-Tarkir/jeskai-ascendancy.png, and are aligning correctly that way. (Which is the size I tried uplaoding last time, and it got thumbnailed down to 198x285)

I got a problem, that many images of cards won't be shown, if hovering them in the deckoverview. Instead, a little icon is shown, which normally is programmed to show up, if there is an error with the picture itself. Any idea why I got this problem? Using Tappedout in Chrome.

Echomaster says... #33

same issue as Ahdor, also using chrome

July 15, 2018 2:39 a.m.

balaniz says... #34

I think the issue Ahdor and Echomaster are having has to do with cards included in Commander Anthology 2.

If you have any cards that were included in that set in a deck, but you don't specify an earlier set, you get the card image error. It's almost like the site knows that CM2 was released and which cards are in it, but the card images from that set aren't being rendered properly.

July 16, 2018 8:50 a.m.

Hellsing says... #35

balaniz yea you're probably right about that.
yeaGO could you pls take a look at this.

July 16, 2018 9:27 a.m.

Ahdor says... #36

balaniz and Hellsing, you were both right. As soon as I choose Commander 2015 for Eternal Witness for example, she is rendered correctly. But note, that in the detail screen to add a card, where you can choose quantity, set and so on, the picture is also crashed. Even if you change the set to another one than Commander Anthology, it won't be shown, unless you finish the details and hover over it, in the normal deck list.

This just happened. Cards that used to show up fine are now not rendering. They are black with the 'broken image link' icon (top left) - this is on hover and in playtest. thx

12hrr says... #40

It would be nice to avoid this reoccurring issue and just have the card images default to the original printing version. Let users switch it manually to the fancy new reprint art if that's what they want.

July 18, 2018 8:48 a.m.

Bataar says... #41

It seems the image for the card Master Biomancer is missing. When testing a deck, whenever that card is in hand, or in play, it just appears black.

July 19, 2018 3:08 a.m.

Promo set cards (cards with ID 000) have pricing issues.
For example, the Mystic Confluence judge promo shows Battlebond pricing, Staff of Nin release promo shows something else (idk what), and Utter End game day promo shows a price between KTK and C16 prices.

July 20, 2018 3:26 p.m.

Nimbaway says... #43

Have encountered a few times where cards from the Commander Anthology with the (CM1) initially save properly, but when I go to edit a deck with such a card it changed it to (('CM1')) resulting in the error that it can't find the card version. Editing all of these allows me to save the deck again, but with the next edit they are back to the faulty set tag.

July 24, 2018 4:30 p.m.

Hellsing says... #44

soulSlayer4002 this has been discussed earlier. Correct pricing for promo cards have never worked to begin with on the site. Sometimes it's right, 99% of the time it's not.
