Lists still not working properly?

When I try to use lists, they are all just jumbled into one line. I noticed others had this issue 2 years ago. Is this still not fixed? Any plans to fix it, or are there workarounds? Here's an example: - A - B - C
Edit: I looked online and just used HTML formatting to add lists manually; seems to work just fine. Still, it would be nice if the list options worked, so if anyone has any info it'd be appreciated, thanks.
If you're trying to do this
- A
- B
- C
it's written like this
- A
- B
- C
If that's not what you're looking for, then I apologize for misinterpreting your question.

weird, I could have sworn I was doing it before the same way you both described. But now it's working and before it wasn't, so I'm not sure what I was messing up before lol. Well in any case, I was just being dumb apparently; thanks for the clarity!

My eyes see a spacing difference from when I do it versus the ones above that's messing with me.

List Example (Insert a space between the line of text prior to the list and the beginning of the list):
List Example (No Space, even tho the list starts on the next line it will concatenate the list with the previous line): - A - B - C
I couldn’t tell ya what part of the code differentiates the two but just put a space and you will be fine.
