"Matching Binders" annoyance...

Does anyone else find the "Matching Binders" part of your trade binder very space consuming and cluttery?
I've got about 15 cards on my want list, but a huge amount of other people who have the cards I want that takes up a lot of space, and many of the entries are the same people with different cards that I want.
I love this site. But whenever I go on my trade binder, my fingers end up wearing down to the bone from having to scroll down past all the names, perhaps throw in a show/hide feature for all the other user's binders to save space? That'd be cool.
I also agree with this. Or put only 1 of each user? I noticed repeat names like 4 to 5 times.

I disaree with this. reason being You know who you have traded with and you know who is more reliable. Skipping over names should be easy.
What would be a cool is if they had a extension to the persons name showing what cards they have from your want list and the quantity. Like a side pop up. So you didn't have to go check everyone's binder to see what cards they have that you want and the quantity.

My reasons aren't for like a trading preference, nor is it necessarily too much of a laziness thing, but more of a visual layout/appearance complaint. Its annoying to have to scroll through a long page, but its not visually appealing also to have a block of text on a small horizontal portion but long vertical area of the screen, and a huge empty space too on the other side.
I hope you understand what I mean. Its a nice feature, but its presented in an ugly, space consuming way.
I do support a side pop-up idea too though.

No, I know what you mean, I was just kidding lol. While useful information to have, it can really be cumbersome when having to scroll past all that to just take a look at your binder. A pop-out option sounds like a really good way to solve the issue.

Oh right... :P
My sarcasm detectors don't really work on text. Must upgrade them...

I think you can buy some new ones for cheap on e-bay.

Oh Lawd. Definitely not trusting goddamn e-Bay - especially with something like Sarcasm Detectors. Don't get me started on the amount of times I've been scammed/screwed around on there...

The complaint I have with the "Matching Binders" issue is that if you have one of the cards in your want list and you put it in, you name will pop up in the matching binders option, I have counted myself at least 5 times once its insane.

I'm glad this thread has started. Binders are a feature that I never thought would get so popular. I really want to redo the whole thing (I hate it entirely right now).
-Firstly, I was thinking about creating a main binder hub where you could see everyone's latest activities.
-Secondly, I was thinking about allowing people to receive notifications when people update binders or when they get matches.
Complaints are fun, but help me out guys--if you could have ANYTHING, what would it be?

What you mentioned seems pretty BA.
I think just making it simpler like the pop up feature of just the cards/quantity that the matching user has would make the experience faster and smoother. Instead of having to go into their binder and search for what they have and how many. If I am looking for more than one copy of a card I will not send a trade offer to someone that has a single card of what i need. So having that feature might make it smoother.

yeaGO!, thank you for having a look at my thread and hearing me out (active site admin's FTW!).
Both suggestions you mentioned would be great. I've noticed (especially) lately that there has been a lot of forum activity regarding updated Trade Binders. A hub that shows all recent binder activity would be a great idea to have, that way there would be cleaner forums and no need to put the extra effort to advertise your cards.
Also just a thought, instead of a "Matching Binders" function on the binder page, have the hub with a search function so you can search for a specific card and, like bman5604 said, quantities of the card, and get a list of all the people who have that card added to their binders. That way there's less clutter and its easier to find the cards you need.
I am also all for receiving notifications when people have updated their trade binders. Notifications like that should be accessible when you have befriended/follow a user, to encourage people using that feature on the site more.

I have seen more and more people getting comfortable with doing trades via the mail. I know I was hesitant at first like most But i Have Not had a bad experience yet.
Any who the auto updates would be pretty awesome and make it more appealing for people to come and trade.

I would agree with this.
The way I envision trading working, is if you have cards that you get three lists.
One that has people who have some of your wants (each name only appearing once)
Then you have another list of people who want what you have.
And then a third list of people who would normally fall in both of these categories.
Of course from a technical point of view the last one would be the most preferred, but as a person who likes to come up with new ideas for decks when looking at binders, the other two lists might be nice.
the notifications idea is brilliant and would certainly save me time in checking up on others binders all the time. I think it would also help significantly with finding what you're looking for.
Other thing I would like to see is if you confirm a trade with someone and you complete the trade that you can then go ahead and leave feedback for others to see concerning the trade.
