Missing SOI Card?

TappedOut forum

I wanted to add the card "Make a Stand" to a deck I was building but I could not seem to bring it up in the directory. Perhaps its just an error on my end but is anyone else having a similar problem?

I'm using my iPhone just fine. What do you mean "bring it up in the directory?"

I think ArchFline is talking about the "Quick Add" field where you can type in a card name and a drop down list will appear with various auto-complete choices.

I just finished testing it (in a Firefox browser) with a few different types of odd card names, and it looks like the field doesn't like names with an "a" by itself. After typing a space after the "a" the drop down list will disappear, even if there are still viable choices it could be displaying. For example, typing "Make a " should leave a drop down list displaying both Make a Stand and Make a Wish but instead there's nothing at all.

I don't know what the iPhone interface looks like, but if it's an option you should be able to add the card by typing the name directly into the decklist instead of going through Quick Add.

Oh, yea... I've never used the "quick add" feature but rather just entered the card name directly in to the list.

That's not a glitch. That's a typical response for a lot of drop down searches. SCG's search engine acts much the same way at times. If you punch in a one or two letter word and move out of it the search engine will hiccup.

Have you ever done an advanced deck search on tappedout based on a card? You know how there's that little box and it asks for the first three letters at least?

Same principle. T/O's drop down search engine and many similar ones across the web need at least three consecutive letters to make a concise enough search through a database. If you feed it a two letter word and space off of it the system will get mad at you.

Quick Add's low limit seems to be 2 letters. "Acolyte of " will properly display Acolyte of Xathrid and Acolyte of the Inferno, and "bathe in " will display Bathe in Dragonfire and Bathe in Light.

You are correct Rhadamanthus it was the quick add field that I was having an issue with. However it seems to be nearly a minor annoyance.
