I too have thought about coding a thesaurus of sorts. Too bad there were so many naysayers in that previous post.Does anyone have any programming experience who would be willing to work on parsing from MtGJSON or another large dataset?

If you use chrome there is the "ask google for suggestions" option on the spell checker. I can write scry, nekusar, and titania with no red underlines. As a matter of fact "Ahbzan" and "Azban" both return "Abzan" as the suggested correction.

I don't know, but I was using it as a sample (of how the thesaurus would function) :)

The only one who has access to coding is yeago. There are only about 5 users who work vigilantly on the database. A few of them I have not seen for a while. None of us want to work on 16k of cards for an affect that can be achieved through utilizing Gatherer effectively.
There is one thing I would like though ...
To have our own dictionary of terms. So that way things like scry don't get the red underline treatment and users can read through all the mtg related terms. That and properly spelt card names don't get red underlined as well.
