Muting ads with audio.

Is there a feature (or can there be one) where you can opt to automatically mute ads that come up on the site that feature audio? I'm getting a bit tired of listening to my MTG podcasts with TO open in another tab, and then all of a sudden getting blared out by a Ford Focus ad or something. (Also it's only the car ads that have any sort of audio at all. Go figure.)

Assuming that the ads are using Flash, you should be able to set your browser to only run Flash when you allow it. I use Firefox, so that's the only one I know how to do it in, but:
Go to "Tools", then "Add-Ons" and look for "Shockwave Flash" and there should be a drop down box on the right that you can change to "Ask to Activate".
It's a little inconvenient, but given how notorious Flash is for creating security vulnerabilities, I think it's a prudent measure regardless.

If you use chrome you can go into the developer toolbar and add the ability to mute tabs.
