need Help condensing text in descriptions

TappedOut forum

Looked around the site, formatting tutorial on daring fireball, and google and can't find a straightforward and complete answer on how to have spoiler tags or such in a deck description to condense text. If i could know how to have tags where it is just ''+ [word]" that opens a large text field, that would be great, but any way to condense large amounts of text into 1 button would make me happy at this point.

You mean a show / hide button?

It's quite hard to do.

yes, that is exactly what i mean, i wish to know how to do a show/hide button. i've also seen people have them where it is just a single word like "land" or "ramp" with a "+" next to it that expands the hidden text.

Its midnight here in the UK and I'm really tired, so I can't give a lesson now but if you want to message me on my profile I'll do it tomorrow.

that's another thing i'm unaware of how to do tbh, i saw how to comment to a wall, but saw no private message function in any of the sub tabs or main profile.

ChiefBell, I'd love to hear that too, I'm pretty bad at keeping things short.

Go onto my profile by clicking my name scroll down and there will be a blank box that says 'comment' above it.

Replace L with <

Replace R with >

All the numbers have to be the same within each button code, but different between each button code. For example - for your first show / hide button you could use 1. For the second one use 2 etc.

Oh, wow... That was a tad more complicated than I imagined. What's the name of the code-language used on the site? I think I'll Google more in-depth guides for this one.

i looked around some more and had found a bit of code before this that i could get to work for a single line of text, but what about multiple paragraphs? gonna test with this code so idk yet.

tested it out, can get it tow work on a single full paragraph but is there any way at all to add a line to separate 2 paragraphs inside one of these boxes? I'm more or less trying to condense a 6-7 page deck description into these tags.

< br > (remove the spaces) creates a gap.
