New site layout

I hope this is taken as constructive criticism, because I'm a huge fan of the site, but the new layout and color scheme of the site is all over the place. The old version was very clean, sleek, and easy to maneuver around. This one is gaudy, cluttered, and awkward.
I didn't know a big change was in the works, so when I first saw the changes I thought I had gone to the wrong site. I get what the designers are going for, but the old site used the color pie of MTG as its color scheme with black/grays to accentuate. Using silvers, and beiges, and browns WITH the W/U/B/R/G is overstimulating and hard to get through.
Just my thoughts. I think the performance improvements, the drafting additions, site features, and writing are ALL terrific.

Right. In fact, way respect. I took a Dreamweaver class about 9 years ago... that's about how close I ever got to learning how to build a website. Bust, design-wise hopefully we can help.
I think the old version used good levels also. By that I mean that text was all the same size where everything was related, and thematically all came together. Things just looked cleaner for a lack of a better word.

Criticism and feedback always welcome. =)
Bear with me as actually the design transition isn't complete because I haven't got all the elements yet and I'm still working on the text around the site. With these things in mind I can proceed and we can keep the discussion going.

Could you add an option to use the old layout in Settings or something? I found the old layout much easier to read on the black background, nice and simple
Right now it just feels a lot more bulky and taking more room rather than being simple and functional.

Things i liked about the previous layout. The comment boxes had nice little heading areas making the author very clear, and the comment boxes served to clearly delineate between one person and the next persons's comments. I am not however suggesting a return to comment boxes, but something to offset the author slightly, and perhaps a line or some other method to more clearly delineate between the comments. In my opinion this would help greatly.
Another idea. The articles section colors with a slight tweak might be a tad easier to read.
Last comment for the moment, love the new top of the page. Not sure if the top comment on the page needs such a much different background color however.

@yeaGO! I give the new lines separating the comments an A+. I think it looks Much better now. Small thin and elegant, and yet clearly space defining. Nicely done.

Ok i am rescinding the previous A+ due to the lines not showing up consistently in all posts. Seems like occasionally a line is skipped for some reason.

To be honest I have to agree. I think the color scheme here is slightly all over the place too. I like the top of the website with all the links, it's just I really don't like the way threads looks with the first post being doubled and the first of the doubled being in a big black (with light) box. I just don't think the box fits. It's the same black box on people's profiles. It fits more fore profiles, but I don't think the colors of it fit with everything else.
Also just my opinion, feel free to ignore it if you'd like, and no disrespect. :)
