New user looking for clarification.
TappedOut forum

Hello, I'm new to TappedOut and I have several questions since I can't seem to find any obvious "Help" or FAQ sections on the site. I will appreciate any answers to these questions:
1) I understand that certain aspects of my published information (deck lists, trade lists, etc.) will not be public until two months from now; can I still post direct links to any of this information before that time?
2) What, exactly, are the rules and restrictions placed on new users, and how/when do they change?
3) Admittedly, one of the reasons I joined this community is a desire to find a safe online trading resource. I accept that this will earn me some scrutiny, but I have participated in online card trading (Eye of Judgment) many times with 100% positive feedback, and am willing to go to great lengths to prove my trustworthiness. Am I likely to find anyone here who will even consider giving me a chance inside two months' time?
4) Are there any unspoken/unwritten rules that I need to be aware of in this community, or any site-specific information that I should be aware of?
Thank you again for reading, and for any help you might offer me.
Thank you for your quick and thorough reply. I'll keep it all in mind. As for the trade binder, don't bother looking just yet; I haven't even begun listing what I have available. I intend to spend several hours over the next few days listing everything in my binders from M13, Innistrad, Dark Ascension, Avacyn Restored, and Return to Ravnica.
If it makes you feel any more secure, given that you're quite reputable around here, I'll gladly send your cards first and wait for confirmation of delivery before asking you to send mine--that is, of course, assuming you're interested in anything that I have.

Not a problem. I won't be able to view your binder because it won't go public for another two months, but you can type it all up and email me a copy if you like. Let me know when you're ready.

Edit: Epochalyptik covered everything, and unfortunately I can not find an edit button for my previous post, I'm still not awake yet thanks to my daughter keeping me awake most of the night.

I'm right there with you: I didn't sleep last night, and my nine-month-old baby girl is sick today. ; ; Coffee: Nectar of the gods.

I'm sorry to hear your baby is sick, I hope she gets better soon. And yes, Coffee is the nectar of the gods. My wife got me a nice Stanley thermos to help keep my coffee warm, it was like christmas came early.

1) Your decklists will always be public unless you manually set them to be private. The trade binder is the only piece of your profile that is not published until your account is 60 days old.
2) As stated above, a trade binder is not published until the associated account is 60 days old. however, that is pretty much the only difference between new and veteran (or even regular) accounts. You have the option of purchasing an account upgrade that will give you access to name customization, some feature tokens (for putting your deck in the banner space), and a deckcycling limit of three times per day (rather than the normal one per day).
3) You may find a few users willing to trade with you. I am one of them; I can take a look at what you have to offer.
4) Just common sense stuff. Be respectful, maintain the community, and don't spam the forums. Also, since this is usually something that newer users have trouble with, familiarize yourself with the forums and their specific purposes.
You can also check the help desk for more information. It can be reached at any time via the help link at the bottom of the page.
