People in the top 100, how do you decide?

I have been on tappedout for about 3 years now, and im at rank 101. I have a few questions about what happens when you break 100. Aside from changing from deckling, does anything else change?
To the people who have broken 100, how did you decide what to change your title to? How do you know it hasnt been taken already? Does it even matter if its been taken already?
Ive considered a lot of things, the first that came to mind was Modern Master, but i know someone has that already. Im thinking of just mushing a bunch of my favorite card names together. I dont know man. Basically im asking how you picked your title after breaking the top 100?
Help me get some ideas! thanks

This should be in the social forum, though I won't rattle off on you for this because it is a little discrepant (wrong word?) in the two forums with matters like this.
The title should basically be a quick short definition of you or something catchy that gives you an image. For example, mine is "Erotic Witch", which A) portrays my sexuality, and B) ... I'm not too sure what "Witch" portrays. I just like witches.

Haha I think of swamps and places that look like Yoda's home, Black Cats and Spellbooks when i think witches.
Do you have to decide right when you hit 100 or just update it whenever?

8vomit- it's not definite. You can change it whenever you want to and however often you want to. I enjoy tribal decks and for awhile I wanted to make a Tribal deck for every creature type out there. Didn't get very far though so I'm probably more "student" than "master" lol

I don't imagine dentistry on Grixis is particularly subtle. I like Surgical Extraction and Blightning so it seemed like it fit.

I just changed it without thinking based on some tongue-in-cheek jokes. I also am partial to a bit of trolling every now and again.

I wanted mine to be something to do with EDH so i chose EDH Pro, upon reflection i wish i had chosen Elder Dragon but i fell off my 8th place due to absence for a few months n now im 500th ish so i dont think i can change it lol

Honestly, choose something that displays your personality or some other simple thing like that. If you can think of a super funny joke/pun (like mine ;)) then go for that. You can change your rank name for as long as you remain in the top 100 so there is no rush thinking of one either.

Someone else changed mine a long time ago and I just haven't had any snappy ideas of my own since then. The one thing I tried, Seething Nuclear Chaos, was too long and I felt the way it spilled over onto the next line just looked bad.

Locked & Loaded is a pun. Because like a bank vault is locked, and also loaded with cash. It was the first thing I thought of and never went back for something more fitting.

When did that get changed? I remember when I first joined, that was something reserved for upgraded members.

Darn, I was rank 100 and then was gone for 2 weeks and now I'm 102. Could've changed my title, live and learn.

@yeaGO yeah cause I just checked in the Settings menu and I didn't see a place where I could change it at. I'm not in a horrid rush to change it, mind you. Just wondering if I could.

I also thought it was just for upgraded users in the top 100.
In the "Profile Settings" section of your settings page, the presence/absence of a "Rank Title" field will tell you whether or not you have that capability.

It's my goal to hit top 100, even briefly, but being an edh-only player narrows my ability to raise my rank compared to other formats.

I honestly don't care much. I still have Deckstpert. I'm jsut on here a lot. I'll upgrade once I have some free cash, but it's damn hard given everything going on with me atm. I haven't thought about titles as a result.

-x-Juuzou-x-x- im pretty much strictly a modern player, and ive nearly gotten to 100, so its not too hard. you must simply be active.
Thats awesome that you can keep changing it though, i didnt realize that was the case.

I got into Top 100 basically from spamming in the modern forum for a couple months. Realistically, it can take about 3 months from scratch to get Top 100, but the minimum point requirement is always going up.
I did my title in Borderlands style, copying Sir Hammerlock's "Hunter, Scholar, Gentleman", but with Kaiser instead of Hunter, because that is what my title is within my real life group. Genau, genau. JAWOHL!

I go to the deck builder tab, and see if anyone is looking for help with EDH decks. Then I will help if I have any ideas for the deck help threads. I also chime in if I have anything to say when people link decks on Untap.in.

Well, I didn't really spend a lot of time on my title. Honestly, it was something that somebody said about me at work to a new guy when we were introduced and I liked it enough to put up here.
pretty boring story, but the title fits my personality. Lol.
