Player vs Player Play Test Sand Box

So how much work would it take to expand the current play test sand box to allow two players to play against each other? Not something like magic online that maintains the rules - just something that allows players to go through the motions of a game. Meaning so long as the players know the rules they can play a full game.

Something similar to like what magic work station does, but browser based.

I think this would be truly awesome, but I am not a web developer so I don't know how practical this would be to create.

I suggest to people that cant always afford to play irl and online but want to properly test there decks to use.

cocatrice.de

it is a download-able content and you can test your deck against people from all around the world for free.

It would be cool but think about the difference, mws or the other downloadable versions do not have innate use of mtg cards, they are platforms. The cards are separate downloads, so the companies can claim they are for other games and such. Having a browser based one even like the play tester with our archive of cards would compete too much with mtgo. So it likely will not happen

DukeNicky - Its open source, so it will compile and run under anything. It built on Linux just fine once I installed QT 4.x

I believe they have a Mac installer listed on their website though.

@jeffhoogland open source means that the code is free, and usually supports open collaborative development. It doesn't have anything to do with how the software runs. :)

I do not plan on adding a multiplayer like feature right now to the playtester. I would prefer people play the real game.
