Pop Up Ads

TappedOut forum

Lately I've been running into a problem with ads that either redirect me off the page to another site or open up a new tab for an ad. I have no problem with ads that are on the page normally, but I'm really not a fan of ads that redirect me somewhere else. Anyone else having this issue and know how to stop it from happening?

I would reccomend a scan for adware before you assume its Tappedout itself. Download Malwarebytes and run it just in case

Can I see a screen shot of these? Where do you end up? When did it start?

It happened on my phone too, or I would have assumed malware at first as well readerrw07. And I took some screenshots when it happened on my phone, give me a minute to load it to imgur or something.

I'm having a similar situation lately. (2 today alone, 1 a long time ago) I was redirected off the site for no reason. One said "you've been selected to receive a free Surface 3" and another said "Beware of a major virus on Android 6.0" (which i just upgraded to today). Both these incidents happened by a pop-up and a redirection to one of those pages where hitting back just brings you to another spam page.

I have a theory that I may have the Chome redirection virus, as my service provider's malware scan came up empty, and there is no other virus that I've heard of where this happens.

I've installed Chrome cleaning software, hope it works.

It's just really annoying.

xzzane, that pop up looks mighty simolar to what I saw today, but mine is Android.

However, that website you were redireted to was nothing like the ones I were directed to. Weird

I'm not sure if the website one was on my computer or phone, but I think it was on my phone as well. I don't think I got any screenshots from my computer.

Yeah I've been running into the same issues.. I'm always on here on my iPhone, and the site frequently redirects me to the App Store.. Only today though did the crap that xzzane posted pictures of started happening.. One such ad was for a "Porn Downloader".. smh...

I'd like to chime in on this as well as I've been getting malicious ads from this site as well on my desktop PC. I know its from TappedOut because it's my TappedOut browser tab that gets redirected to the malicious site with a bogus domain name. I know it's malicious because both Chrome browser and Windows Defender pop and identify it. This has happened thrice this week. Next time I'll try to get a screenshot. The malicious site has been the same one each time: it is a false Adobe Flash updater that automatically downloads the malicious payload to your download folder and tells you to run it.

Is there specific means of reporting this to the site admins?

I never had it on my computer but once or twice on my phone (but that was a long time ago)

It redirected me to a blanc site (or one that would not load..) and then tryed to open the app store.

Im pretty sure it was something on my phone and not an ad on the site because I got rid of it and never saw it again

I have same issue. It opens play store, or says I have so many viruses infecting my phone. I have malware for my phone, and a virus program. Neither detect anything wrong with my phone when scanned.

Same thing happened to me several times (at least 3) yesterday. I got redirected to an obviously fraudulent site that was trying to get me to d/l something. My Antivirus software went ape shit each time i got sent to the site
