I applaud your tactful wording, but the discussion is still unnecessary. TappedOut will not censor community speech unless it is directly and obviously threatening to the safety of security of any individual.
We cannot shield everyone from every offense, and we don't want to be in the business of trying to do so. It's not our job to deliberate on social issues. This is not a news site or a current events forum. Please, users of TappedOut, stop bringing these topics back into the spotlight.
If you believe someone is violating site policies, bring it to the attention of an admin or mod. Elect not to use terms that offend you. Carry on with your life.

Don't feed people's hypersensitivity. If they have issues with being triggered by a fucking fantasy card game, they need to seek help because they have the issue, not anyone else. Therapy will help them learn to manage their triggers. If they can't be bothered to seek therapy then their sensitivities then why should we be bothered to "respect" them?
Is naming a deck after rape good taste? Of course not, nothing involving rape is. But something we should censor? Hell no. This is America ladies and gents, put on your adult pants and wipe the tears away.

Epochalyptik - If that's the case then delete the thread and let that be it. The impression I got from the last time this came up was that the decision was based on the (in my opinion) flawed logic outlined above, not a straight up refusal to censor community speech; if that's the case then this discussion is indeed unnecessary.

At no point have we implied that users are not responsible for their actions.
The slavery and torture aside is just one more example of why we don't make it a point to explore social issues and impose regulations on the community. It is not our station to ban discussions on the very possibility that someone somewhere may take offense. And how do you justify the degree of offense necessary to ban certain words? It's an exercise in futility, and it's ultimately unproductive.
