What are deck scores? Are they just Tappeds version of likes or is there something more to it?

It's basically just a popularity rating. You don't (currently) get any benefits from having upvotes on your decks.

I really hope the upvote system never does give benefits, in just a few short minutes I easily imagined many different bad possibilities considering it would essentially turn upvotes into a resource on the site (like currency) instead of a sort of achievement system.

Though even then I'm surprised I'm not seeing too many decks that say "Upvote if you like cats, Ignore if you like to kill cats." or similark.

I wasn't thinking anything drastic. Maybe every 100 upvotes your deck gets one free deckcycle or something. Basically a relevant reward, but not enough to make people vote-happy. I don't necessarily think we need such a system, but it would be a cool way to acknowledge good decks.

something like that would be awesome, it's not drastic but it's helpful in getting more opinions on your deck (which is the whole reason to put decks on here anyways right?)

100 seems kind of steep as an upvote limit given there are only 46 decks in the current database that have at least that many votes. Compared to all the decks cycled even on a daily basis that is nothing. I for one am ecstatic to get even double digits on my decks (when I deck cycle, which isn't often) as I have only done so twice in my time on this site, for the last 2 1/2 years. I don't make bad decks as many of them seem to be played in the meta but I usually only build to test them with friends. My most recent deck build B/W/R Midrange I think it could be viable but there are pieces Im still trying to work out and it is making progress in testing as well (still needs a sideboard, any help is appreciated). I'm also working on a W/U Legacy build but it won't be unprivated for a while while I fix up the core build.

Keep in mind this is all theoretical.

100 is a safe number because we wouldn't want to set the bonus requirement so low that people become upvote whores. If we were to give a free cycle or some other reward every 10 or even every 25 votes, we'd see a more vote begging and that sort of thing.
