Another thing would be that once you have saved your deck upon successful editing, the page jumps to the deck rather than back to the edit page. Maybe that's just me though..
nammertime says... #4
What browser do you use? I edit on Opera, playtest on Chrome.
August 4, 2010 4:22 p.m.
@kram -- next update will include options to return to either page (new 'save and continue' submit button)
@others -- not ignored. still thinking.
August 4, 2010 6:44 p.m.
yeah I really miss being sent back to the deck's main page after editing. Seeing the charts is pretty relevant to the next set of updates. I hadn't gotten around to complaining so here it is! love you Yeago!

nammertime says... #8
I see both buttons there now though... and it works, which is great!
August 5, 2010 2:36 a.m.
I am probably going to include some chart options because people can't really agree on whether they want colorless or not, and I really don't want to add any more charts.
August 5, 2010 11:21 a.m.
nammertime says... #10
Ya, that sounds like a good plan. And actually, I think people just wouldn't like colorless in their mana symbols chart because colorless cards wouldn't really matter so much since they could be cast with any land, but in the land chart, colorless lands would tell you the proportion of how many color-producing lands you have in your deck.
But yeah, just giving the option might make it simpler... no one would complain, haha.

Oh and before I forget, maybe you should feature more than one deck, seeing as how (I think) traffic has increased there. I see three or four featured decks easily, but that's only after refreshing the main page a bunch of times to (after testing it with one of my own decks, I noticed that it sometimes didn't appear that often, and sometimes it would appear three or four times in a row, which I assume is because the decks are chosen randomly from the queue).
If you featured two decks one on top of the other (when there's, say, at least four decks on the feature queue), I think the feature tokens would go a long way in making every featured deck more visible.
August 5, 2010 2:30 p.m.
Nammertime, with that we need to be careful not to give the impression that $$$ is the only way that people are going to get exposure for their decks. I already get the complaint that the main page scrolls too quickly for deck-cyclers, so reducing that space would not necessarily be a good thing. Still, its worth considering and I think something will change soon in this area.

nammertime says... #14
True, I didn't look at it that way. Well, I can't wait to see the change, haha.

Cant remember who made the playtester but a sideboard option would be seriously practical and just great. Would love to see that soon
August 5, 2010 4:52 p.m.
Honestly that sideboard addition would be amazing. No idea how you would pull it off technically other then when you hit playtest it goes to a decklist which you can quickly edit in s/b plans there.
August 5, 2010 9:23 p.m.
SocialistElite says... #17
The fact that you can't go to your sideboard during a game makes it very difficult to playtest decks with cards like pawnsire-of-ulamog or Burning Wish .
Its still better than any online playtester I've ever used. So kudos, mate!

Long as we are tossing up wishes how about a way to tutor up a specific card other than having to click through your whole deck? Or even just a way to tutor up a specific land? especially since there are so many cards now days that can bring out a specific land and based on deck composition it can be maddening to click through 30 or so cards before you find the plains or what ever basic land type that you needed.
August 10, 2010 5:19 p.m.
nammertime says... #19
The playtester allows you to tutor up specific cards though.

Leonard_McCoy says... #20
I'd be nice to sort the cards of your deck by converted mana cost.
August 10, 2010 7:18 p.m.
DeckBuilder345 says... #21
@nammertime i r not so smart... i never used it to tutor up lands... duh... ok nvm my entire suggestion. lol.

DeckBuilder345 says... #22
Ok something changed after the site update. When adding cards now, if you add 1 of a card and then later add 1 more of the card but you haven't saved in between... it treats it as if you added a single copy of that card. For instance if i make a new deck and i have a card listed twice in there then it just moves it to 1 card rather than combining the two and making it 2 cards of that type as it previously did.(it would also pop up a warning and not let you look at your deck until you hit save again when it did this...the warning is unnecessary but functionality would be nice) I would like to have restored the previous functionality.

Leonard_McCoy says... #24
It would be great if the playtester had card images of a higher resolution so that zooming in on them is not in vain from the get-go. (Great feature though - the playtester!)
August 17, 2010 2:09 p.m.
nammertime says... #25
Yea, they are a bit hard to read (read: you can't read them most of the time), but I just open another window with the deck out and drag that window to my other monitor... but I guess it'd be better for those of us not using two monitors, right?
August 17, 2010 2:13 p.m.
@ Leonard_McCoy -- great idea. done. And by this I mean converted mana cost sorting.
August 17, 2010 3:15 p.m.
@DeckBuilder - Still thinking about this one. Its tough because I don't want to consolidate them automatically because someone might specify a foil or a printing and consolidating the cards would merge them all regardless of foil or printing.

It works SUPER AWESOME for EDH... that was a great improvement, thanks!

It would be great if we could mulligan in play-testing.

DeckBuilder345 says... #31
The problem is when you draft a deck, and also when entering a deck list if you try to edit the deck you loose your cards. Because when you draft it just puts all your cards in the list, as one of's and then if you edit, it consolidates all those down to just a singleton of one card. Goes from 3 1x palace guards to 1 1x palace guard. This is not cool. Needs to go back to how it was. move the 3 1x palace guard to a single 3x palace guard, or keep them all as singletons with an option to combine. but loosing the cards is not good.
August 18, 2010 3:43 p.m.
what happened to the estimated costs of decks? I kinda liked that feature...
August 21, 2010 3:58 a.m.
nammertime says... #33
It's still there?
I dunno where the prices are from though, 'cause man, my cards cost me way more than what the thing indicates, lol.
August 21, 2010 5:52 a.m.
Yeah, I need to re-add this because as it was, the prices were way off. This is something I can do now that I have somewhat reliable price feeds.
August 21, 2010 10:51 a.m.
@DeckBuilder -- I can't confirm that you're losing cards when you make a deck out of a seat.
I just made M11 / M11 / M11 out of bdent's seat here and I didn't lose cards. They just aren't combined.
August 23, 2010 3:47 p.m.
DeckBuilder345 says... #36
@yeago i will give you an example if you like. try and take the deck you just made from that draft and add some land to it and you should see exactly what i mean. I copied your deck and edited it to merely change the name. I changed nothing else. See what happened to all the cards? not-as-drafted
August 23, 2010 11:59 p.m.
Not sure where I should put this, I thought here would be best.
I've just noticed that the amount of points I have in my profile hasn't changed in a while, Even though i've commented on decks and made new ones recently. Is there a bug with the ranking system at the moment, or am I being crazy?

next request. a delete button while you are actually looking at your deck. I have to go to my deck list to actually delte, can't do it from the deck proper or folder view.
August 24, 2010 10:45 p.m.
Question: why aren't we posting this stuff HERE?!?!?!?!?!?!?
August 24, 2010 11:18 p.m.
nammertime says... #44
Well... I do, but I think this thread is starting to get a life of its own lol.
August 24, 2010 11:49 p.m.
DeckBuilder345 says... #45
@ honeymomo because we have a real nice thread going for it right here already, and it gives everyone a chance to respond to people's suggestions, and is a great little dialogue between yeaGO! and the community. Plus it is easier to facilitate a back and forth on the forums here where it is easy to link to decks, and cards and things.

When adding cards to one's deck it is not possible to add them writing 1 Cancel, but solely 1x Cancel, eventhough the description of how to add cards says otherwise.
:(

I don't know why but I don't get the card preview anymore when hovering over linked card names. :( (Google Chrome 6.0.472.51)

The mana cost for Worm Harvest is incorrect in the cost breakdown chart.
September 1, 2010 7:09 a.m.
Ok chaps, dunno if anyone else has thought of this...
I've wanted to find out just how many people use the tappedout site, and how many people are logged on at any one time. Maybe it's just my curiosity getting the better of me, but I noticed one deck having more than 1200 views and thinking about how many people actually use the site. Just thought it would be cool to have a total on the main page, as well as a count of who's logged in at that particular time.
September 1, 2010 3:22 p.m.
SocialistElite says... #50
@Vortxis: I know alot of other sites do that. It has the typical X Users X Guests. Some even let you see who is logged on.
nammertime says... #2
Mine doesn't jump anywhere.
A minor addition I wouldn't mind seeing is to see the number of colorless lands in my mana pie chart.
