Tapped Out is so slow/laggy these days!

EDIT: Solved with Google Chrome AdBlock.

Mannnn, this is frustrating. Tapped out as become so slow and laggy recently. Probably because of the pesky adds...like sometimes I right click the auto-playing video add to hit ''show controls'' and pause it, and sometimes it helps, but sometimes even if there isn't such an add, the site is just so laggy. To think that much of us did many contributions, it really feels bad, like I really like and enjoy Tapped Out, don't get me wrong...but lately I feel that it has become worse..

How about you guys? Facing the same problems? Found a solution? I'd love to get feedback to see if I'm not alone!...

I imagine the server host gets a lot of network traffic going in and out given the number of people who are on here regularly and are constantly sending information across multiple pages of the site with tags and deckcycles and the forums and playtesting. That's a lot of information to move in and out. I don't know if their server is privately owned or rented, but the only people who can change this would be the admins, and that change for the better part would probably be mostly derived from acquiring a faster server host, which isn't cheap regardless of how you do it.

I don't think there's a whole lot of infrastructure work that could be done to reduce the notable latency. If there was, I doubt our busy admins have a lot of free time to invest in it.

For what this site is and does, and what the admins do, I think it works pretty damn well.

Not discrediting your concerns, rather laying out what is likely the reality.

I've not had an issue with it. Sometimes the site gives me Ornithopters, but they make me smile, so it doesn't bother me. It's usually pretty zippy for me.

Who the hell still sees ads? Adblock anyone? Google Chrome ftw.

I should probably start using Chrome now that's enabled on my work's intranet...

or Firefox... hmm...

Decisions.

TMBRLZ Thx for your feedback. I do undersdtand what you are saying but still while I'm wrirting this there is enough lag that any typo makes it hell to go back and correct it so I appligize for that. Regardless I hope something can be done eventually beacause it didn't use to be like this. Just thought I try to find some answers.

Sounds like an issue with what you're using to be honest friend. I don't think it's the website that's giving you grief.

it's weird it's the only site that does that BUT now it's ok like perfectly fine, it goes and comes back in waves.

You should probably set your web browser to clear out all cookies and other saved website information out of it's cache when you close it. That could be your problem.

I personally don't bother with adblockers. Ads never bothered me that much and ESET and Malwarebytes block all my pop-ups for me already.

That and I use Mozilla Firefox. Don't trust Chrome all that much. Convenient. Not secure.
