Tappedout Discord & Spelltable

Would it be a plausible idea for Tappedout to have some sort of Hub/Channel or sticky post or something for members of the site/community could network and play Magic on Spell table/similar?
Pretty much... I mentioned discord because that's what me and my brother used so we could hear each other on spelltable although I am not sure if its necessary or just habit because that's usually how we play other online games together.
I have read on this site over the years many people (myself included) talking about not having an active playgroup or not being able to attend FNM as often as they would like... I think it could be neat if there was some sort of way for people looking to play a game of Modern or EDH or whatever could throw a line out and see if they could arrange for a good time to play.... kinda like how people initiate trades or something?

We already have an events notifier feature for LGS's to use that has been sitting in languish for nearly a decade now. We might be able to repurpose that for an LFG thing but it would be a lot of work.
But sure a forum/channel can work at some level but like, if you really want an LFG to function I feel like it'd need a "I'm available to play at these times or now with these sites/programs" type of scheduling, and the ability to receive notifications about others being able to play and to search people to play. It'd basically be a glorified universal matchmaking system.
However, people typically go onto OCTGN/Xmage/Cockatrice/untap.in etc etc for these sorts of things, with the official ones being Arena queue and mtgo, since they all inherently have LFG functionality at the get go with people creating their own rooms or have matchmaking built in.

That is interesting maybe we can build it as a feature, but it could just be a discord thing too. or have a discord lobby if one is needed

I certainly think it would be neat... I'm just discovering this and am currently just amazed and thought I'd share.

I got this idea from my brother actually. He lived far away from me but showed me a website called spelltable which I guess is linked to your Magic Arena account or something because I used my username and password for that and my brother sent me an invitation to his game and I was able to play a casual paper magic game with him using our webcams and microphones! I could see his cards and click the cards and with a surprising amount of success the card could be properly identified by the software and I could read his cards too!
I just thought it was the coolest thing I've seen in a long time and thought it could be a neat way for players here to get games in!
