Thoughts: Polling Forums

Just a thought: polling in the forums. Whether it's "should I add X or Y to my deck?," "what deck to bring to FNM?," or a would you rather have A or B return in the next set, there are a lot of threads that can be simplified with a simple poll. This was the topic of a thread a year ago or so by The Doctor but it didn't receive too many comments. Hopefully we can get some discussion about this!
This would just add a poll or voting section to the original post . Of course, there would still be the ability to post thoughts below, but I think this would help the user posting by getting a glance at some numbers. It may also keep the discussion on track, but it could also leave the user posting without feedback (which they were originally looking for). Then again, it wouldn't be necessary to add this to every post.
I'm not sure if this is feasible, but I'll leave that part up to the admin :)
So, thoughts?

Not sure anyone would oppose this. You make a good point about a thread with a poll possibly not getting any replies. In the end though I think most people will be happier with 15-20 votes on a poll than 2 comments.

That raises another good point Rasta_Viking29. Even the laziest of the lazy would not avoid this. Hardly anyone is too lazy to answer a quick poll. It's similar to users who upvote decks without commenting, except unlike that situation, this would still be of use.

Or what about a poll option on each deck page? You can set it like the description, or updates.

@Didgeridooda: Building on that idea, it might be interesting to have a "vote for card X or Y for inclusion" poll, or a "include/cut card X" poll on decks.

I think that would be both very interesting and helpful. I'm not sure that it should be in place of the ability to poll in threads, since there are still many applications for them. Together, they would be great additions to thee site, definitely something I'd use. I hope this is feasible from YeaGo's perspective.
