so on tapped out how does the trading occur? do you have to go to them or what?

Just post a thread in the trade forum stating what you're looking for and give a glimpse of the stuff you have (or even better, keep your profile binder up-to-date).

Alternatively, contact people whose binders match your want list and ask if they are willing to consider a trade.

Since I prefer to trade in my local playgroup, I usually wait for other peoples' trade threads to cycle through the front page and then check them to see if I can help someone out.
