Wondering the same thing. I went to the forums and had to blink a couple of times to make sure my page was done loading. Maybe Epoch raged about all of the incorrect forum postings ;P

the change just cuts out one horrible database query...

You're probably seeing this too, but I'm seeing ~10 posts per forum section that are 2-3 weeks old. Nothing new :S

Nothing new meaning I'm not seeing new posts. Don't want that to be taken incorrectly. Once I go into a specific forum, I see the new postings.

I had an idea to make threads the same as comments so they could appear in a common stream but SQL starts to break down when the number of threads and the number of comments grows. Queries like 'give me the last 5' are easier tracked in other technologies so I started putting them in a new place where I have more granular control.

If any problems persist tomorrow please let me know.
