Upgraded Users! Do you want to make your username better?

The story first started when I was "droxium" and wanted a colorful username. Specifically, a user called Moobu had this really cool username with the background colors all mixed up. So I was able to upgrade with a 100% thanks to [chiefbell and started fiddling with my username colors. No matter what i tried, i couldn't get multiple text shadow colors. Then it occurred to me, go to Moobu's page and see what the html had to offer.
I got this. Now, that may look like a let of random junk to a person like me who doesn't know about html, but look for keywords. stuff like the names of Moobu's decks and the actual name Moobu. I found it and i suggest that you go to the link and around 1000 lines of code down. In specific, i want to point out a recurring theme:
0pt 6px 4px rgb(51, 51, 255), -3px -5px 4px rgb(255, 0, 0), 3px -5px 4px rgb(0, 255, 0)
It was that simple. All that i had to do was get rid of the classic, text shadow: add color 0px 0px 10px (or whatever you fancy) and replace it with that pattern.
In all, I bring to you a leap in making your username stand out throughout the crowd! What colors do you like? How can you change this code and still work? Do you think that it is a good advancement? I know that i will be using it.

Man, i knew i should've waited to post this forum, another thing to add. I remember that a Yoshiman had something similar, but with a black background. I had also tried that but it didn't work, so i went to this and looked through the code and found:background: black;
Just add that after the username color and before the text shadow and you can have the background color of your choice. Make sure though that it matches with the rest of your colors because it can turn into a disaster for the eyes (at least mine) if it clashes.

@tempest, it took me 45 minutes to locate and work out the code that for it would work. I have a tendency to remember old information that normally doesn't mean much, but i guess that Moobu is important, but he hasn't been on for an entire YEAR!!! Either way, that color combo stuck, and that is what counts.

It might be about time for me to learn HTML again. It's surprisingly simple, but when you haven't done anything with it in a year, you tend to forget. Like taking a foreign language.

Making your user name fun and unique is always a joy, but I feel that I really need to stress something here.
DON'T GO OVERBOARD WITH IT!
There's a huuuuge difference between a pretty user name and a jumbled unreadable mess. A little bit of polish and focus can look miles better than an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach.
If you wanna add some shadowy flair around your name, just make sure it doesn't make it muddy. It's really hard to read some of the usernames that have gone past the point of no return.

Haha, I just logged on to look into some EDH ideas and saw I was tagged in this. I'm just a random joe user that messaged Yoshiman right after he customized his name. If I remember right I just looked up random cool html codes and got one to work that I liked. It's been so long since I've done it I can't even really remember the process sadly. Anyways glad you like my name customization as much as I do! =)

@Moobu, wow, you're sort of back! Anyways, i have the codes right there. One thing though, the darker the shade of your "moobu" letters, the harder it is to see. That is why i chose yellow and orange.

Hey. I got the glow effect to work properly with
color:black;text-shadow:1px 1px 5px, 2px -1px 5px white, 0px 1px 7px white, 2px -6px 7px red;font-family:Mistral;font-size:25px;
but the text doesnt appear black, what am i doing wrong?

Thank you guys, I'm just begining with HTML so... I kinda stole Amanyte's code as a first attempt. :p
Well, I shouldn't have change the size of the letters... Pretty huge now, I have to update it. Even if it's really visible, it's really awful. x)

tempest Yeah I feel selfish for wishing it wasn't exposed. I appreciate that miracleHat at least gave me credit as one of the two forefathers of using the technique here on tapped out. But damn I can't help but feel a little sad and violated that he stole my thunder so thoroughly.

Moobu- but look at what its done. nearly every upgraded user has an extremely fancy username. not just the different colored usernames like before. gotta feel some pride in that
