Upgrading to Premium, Question About Ad Revenue
TappedOut forum

So I've gotten a lot of use out of this site (shoutout to the amazing work done by Femme_Fatale, user:yeahgo, and Epochalyptik) and am going to upgrade to help support this wonderful site.
However, I'm an asshole running ad block. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how much ad revenue I have and will continue to cost this site by running adblock. Since I have no intention of disabling it, I would like to add money to the minimum $5 donation for premium to make up for the money I've cost the site.
I'm not sure about lost revenue due to ad block. But if you want to support the community, upgrading is a nice way to do so, I feel like. Once you upgrade, you can upgrade again as a supporter for $3 per month. That's what I do. I'm not sure if it does anything for the individual, but I love this site and community, so it's worth it

I use AdBlock too. The only reason why I've considered disabling it is because there's a guy on YouTube whom I watch religiously (Ardy) and he's stated on a few occasions that because he makes his living making YouTube videos and so many people use AdBlock, he's losing out on a lot of ad funding. Which makes me sad, in a deep, indescribable way. But I still hate ads, so I will continue to use AdBlock.
My point? At least the ads on TappedOut don't delay your site viewing experience. They're just there, and easily ignorable.

I try to disable AdBlock on TO as much as I can, but sometimes the adds get incredibly annoying and disruptive. Whenever that happens, it means a week or two with the block on.

Oh yeah I forgot they include ads with sounds. That is super annoying. If they just stuck to the picture ads, no video or ads with sounds, I'd be much more open to just permanently disabling ads for TO.

Yeah, but the adds are cycled every so often and they're pretty rare.

+1, except that I would like the option to pay more to disable ads. Like have that added to the user settings page or something.
