Users Creating Inactive Profiles

TappedOut forum

Posted on May 1, 2018, 3:59 p.m. by HARDsofty

I've noticed upvotes on some of my decks from users creating inactive profiles.

Is this a common occurrence?

I don't want to get flagged, since I am an active user.

Thanks,

HARDsofty

It just seems as though people are creating profiles solely to upvote. That's all.

I go to profiles that have no decks and little to no activity.

Cuttlefish7 joined a week ago, looked at decks, and made up votes. Not sure about any private decks of that user.

Just giving you one i think is suspicious. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know.

I'll look into more when I get back home.

I try to push the publicity for my decks as much as I can, and often get upvotes from similar users. I don't think this is suspicious at all. When I first joined tappedout, I pretty much just used it to look at decks from other users without necessarily creating any of my own. I don't see why this would be a problem unless people are creating fake accounts to upvote their own decks. IMO, not having "activity" is no reason to suspect someone of doing shady things.

I use tappedout to look up decks similar to what I'm trying to make to get ideas. I'm new to MTG so I don't know old cards so if I want to make an edh deck that's eldrazi, looking at eldrazi decks help me find older cards that work well in the deck. I like to save/organize the decks in folders, but this site makes you up vote to save to a folder. So I up vote and save decks to help me plan my own. Sorry if that's suspicious!
