Viewing thread glitch
TappedOut forum
Posted on Dec. 26, 2013, 7:09 a.m. by ChiefBell
For some reason whenever I click on a thread title to view the thread I get this weird glitched view.
The buttons in the top right that are meant to represent; search, inventory, notifications and profile no longer show. Instead are weird symbols.
Also, the top area where the original post is shown doesn't have a border. It has the brown to black coloured strip (you know - like you have on your profile area bit), but instead of being bordered it stretches all the way across the page and is immediately below the black strip at the top with the TappedOut logo.
Also I can't view cards in threads now on either of those two browsers. If I hover over them, nothing happens.

I'm getting the exact same thing. This is really weird.

It's very interesting, and could represent a new view for this site (yeaGO!?), but I can't see cards in forums and the buttons are gone (but you can still click on them, you just have to guess where they are). Here's the weird thing: it's fine everywhere else.

Articles seem to be the same way. Ornithopter s should go up if yeaGO! is doing this now.

I noticd this late last night and was freaking out about it before I realized it was probably an update.
The fact that I was on my iPod didn't exactly clarify the stituation for me.

Yeah, it seems the forums have been modified for mobile users. I mean, I would hope that it looks normal on computers, but it does look nice on my phone. But not viewing cards is really holding me back from liking this.

Unforgivn_II guessed it.
yeaGO! is doing some work to improve the site for mobile platforms. As with all development work, there have been some side effects that need to be addressed. For right now, the forums are completely functional; they appear to be missing only the header icons and mouseover images, and the boss is working on those issues.

The only issues I'm having is that the mouseover viewer for images doesn't work.

I'm not a huge fan of the new layout, to be honest. It doesn't look as nice as the old one. Also, the way cards are being displayed when you hover over them is ugly as there is an enormous white border.

The forum itself looks alright, but there are some colouring issues in the Q&A forum that are pretty egregious.

Wow. In the past 12 hours or so, the forums have become much better. I approve.

Well, the forum overview look great, it's a big improvement. I confused the full width borderless gradient design of the threads with a bug first, as everything else is nicely framed, but it's okay once you wrap your head around it.
The symbols still appear on some pages, like for example the profile pages, so the header symbol bug isn't causing real problems.
I'm not exactly the type to spread my praise overly, but I really like the way the page is improving bit by bit, cool stuff showing up every other week. yeaGO! is doing a good job on this.

It's still not showing symbols for me on firefox, but is on chrome.

The weird colour thing is happening on both Firefox and Chrome. The buttons disappearing is happening on Firefox but not Chrome.
