Beta android app access....possibly other benefits to come....the app gives notifications from this site, and is not meant to replace the site, but compliment it...but if you enjoy the site and want it to last, and improve, $3/month is not that much....

pskinn01 is right, it does grant access to the app beta. And $3 is nothing for any individual user, but if quite a few people do it, it add up. Hell, I pay $7 for a Netflix subscription anyway, amd I use this WAY more than Netflix.

I would be careful where you paint that "everyone can afford this" brush, that is simply not true.

Not saying everyone can afford it, hell, until about 3 months ago...I damn sure couldn't. But if you can in fact, it is a great way to support a community and a website that we all love.

I can confirm that a monocle appeared on my doorstep the day after I upgraded to Supporter. It was my prescription and everything!
