Why do people say "+1 from me" but don't follow through... You know we can see it right?

Yuppers, people forget in that 10 seconds it takes to write the comment ; p But in my experience, leaving a little comment on thier page telling them it didn't go through or whatever works well enough ; p

Wasn't.
But I did distribute a previously promised +1 to somebody.

If you would like some internet accolades, I will gladly +1 your deck.

Yeah, people just forget I'm sure I've done it at some point. It's annoying, sure, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to tell them they forgot to +1...it seems very uncalled for.

Just bugs me that people say things but don't do them

Yeah, I get baked and forget things. So now I try to remember to upvote before I comment.

Oddly enough, I'm the opposite. It bugs me when people randomly upvote my deck but don't say anything. I guess I value constructive criticism over points

I like both I guess. But people do forget. Way she goes

People forget. +1's are nice for the web-based ego boost that all of us at T/O, to some extent, strive for. But it's good to be reminded that it is the thought that counts.

You know that this isn't even close to the same thing, tyforthevenom. But shame on me for even attempting to discuss such a thing rationally with the likes of you.

that's the exact thing anyone means when they say "it's the thought that counts" just taken to an extreme length

I am not convinced that your analogy is useful or accurate. But I also don't feel that anything is to be gained from arguing with a person so given to hyperbole.

most likely they say +1 then forget to actually do it
