was curious why tapped out was down recently
You're right. :P
I have a hosting company that was supposed to look out for traumatic situations. Going to have a phone call with them in a few days.

Yeah, yeaGO!, if we somehow have the budget, you should really hire someone on to help out with the stuff that no one other than you can currently do. And have a nice, long phone call with the server host.

Some Yu-gi-oh players probably hacked the site and crashed it. lol

One theory that's going around is that it was hacked by unhappy girlfriends who didn't want to spend Valentine's Day alone.

Hey, some of us girlfriends are the ones that are playing the game instead of the boyfriends :P
Anyways, glad you guys are back! Please don't go down again, I missed you too much.

Yeah sorry about that all. But it's great to see how understanding the community is.
I'm taking more permanent measures to make it doesn't happen again but also I won't be off the grid for that long for a while.
Incidentally the same thing happened in October the minute I stepped on an international flight. I swear my hosting company is tracking me.

There was the occasional rude comment on facebook, but overall waaay less than you'd expect on the internet, and always from people who thought this page is maintained by a hired team instead of a single person.
We've got a really civilized community.

Server crash and only the site admin had access to fix it and he was on vacation. It seems that most people would be surprised how few people actually keep this site running. It seems to be a one man show with volunteer help from maybe a half dozen more at most if I am being perceptive. I could be wrong though.
