I currently have 2 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad for trade. I would like to trade them, straight up, for 2 Temple Garden . Is anyone interested?

I have an Old art temple garden, but I would prefer to trade it in person.

I live in Southwest Wisconsin if you happen to be nearby. Otherwise I've had success trading online using this site, so I'd be fine trading through the mail if you're okay with that.

In this case the trade would be 1 Sorin for 1 Temple Garden.

Eh, I'm in GA... and I'm not quite comfortable sending a Temple Garden thought the mail just yet. I'd like to do something smaller first. :P

Fair enough. Good luck in your future trades.

I've traded with landgrafb before, and he has completed a ton of trades through TappedOut. For what my word is worth, he's very reliable. And a lot of others would tell you the same thing.

I agree with zandl. I have traded with him before, and it was a pleasure. Twice.

sorry, but what so good about these lands? Sunpetal Grove does the same thing but you don't have to spend life as long as you control a forest or plains? am i missing something?

They are exceptional at fixing complicated mana bases. In my deck's case, having 4 extra lands that tap for G and W make it much more likely that I'll be able to cast card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice by turn 4. They are also ideal targets for Farseek .

Being able to have them come into play untapped on turn 1 is also important for some decks. Decks that want to go T1 card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, T2 Silverblade Paladin really appreciate the diversity of the shock lands.

It's all about having access to two different colors on the first turn. As landgrafb so eloquently stated, it's a second version of Sunpetal Grove (in most regards) in that it's another dual-land, helping to fix your mana further.

But probably the biggest reason that Shock-Lands are very good is that, in a 3 color deck, you don't even really need to play with Basic lands. Shock-Lands (Temple Garden , Godless Shrine , etc.) count as Basic Land types. You can start with a Temple Garden and then play any of of the following untapped: Hinterland Harbor , Sunpetal Grove , Clifftop Retreat , Rootbound Crag , Isolated Chapel , Woodland Cemetery , Glacial Fortress .

Playing with more dual-lands also means better mana-fixing, allowing you to use more utility lands than you normally would, like Gavony Township or Grim Backwoods .
