I've been selling cards like crazy because of a family issue but I'm still short. I've got a good chunk of decent cards but mostly commons and uncommons at this point. Do you have any suggestions for what I should do? Building custom decks with leftovers? Easy arts and crafts? I'm just trying to help my family.

I was in your situation for a while. I applied to be an article writer on mtg for a few different renowned mtg sites. It payed per article but made decent money.

TypicalTimmy, yeah I just applied for a loan so I'll see how that goes.
IzzetFanatic, I was interested in doing that but I wasn't sure how to go about it. I write quite often and have a few ideas for interesting topics, I just have no idea how to be paid for it.

Message a site that does MTG (not one of the big ones like CFB or SCG), but something smaller and send them some of your writing and detail your experince with MTG. There are always sites that need writers.

@ArchangelAlchemist: the biggest thing to realize is that your first few gigs may not be payed. If you make a reputation for yourself and the orginization likes where your writing takes people they will start paying. Additionally you may see opportunities to join 'freelance writer sites' these can be useful once you have a small resume however in the beginning, applying for these in general are a waste of time. Do as Boza says and don't let rejection get you down (as it happens to everyone) but rather fuel you to change your writing to make it more attractive. Remember if you're writing for money you must write what other people want to hear, and sort of (I hate to say this) change your style to fit that, at least at first.

I usually go on Facebook and try to find people that are buying bulk. It's not the most profitable but it's easy and quick.
