1) Incorrect, infectionkill. Whenever a card states it's name as part of the ability, it refers only to that card in particular. So yes, 2 Vigor s on the field would protect each other. Note also that the effects of both won't stack for your other creatures, as only one of them can replace the damage being dealt.
2) The target of an aura is chosen as it is cast, i.e. while it is a spell. So no, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn cannot be enchanted by anything colored. He is vulnerable to Journey to Nowhere though, as it's ability is an enters-the-battlefield trigger, rather than a target as it is cast.

Very sure. Like I said, any card which uses it's name in any ability it has is referring to itself only. Take Oran-Rief Survivalist . If you have two of them on your side of the battlefield, when another Ally comes into play each Survivalist will get a +1/+1 counter. You can't put the counters from both onto a single Survivalist (like one of my friends tried to =P)

Siegfried your supporting arguments are getting better. Things make more sense now. :]

Cheers man. That mnassive argument over Perilous Myr was a bit of a shock to my system, I'm definitely researching rulings and things a little more thoroughly now

1) if the name vigor is stated than vigor b does not get any +1 +1 counters. 2) u can't put auras on emrakul. he is the target of a coloured spell, but some enchanment like oblivion ring or journey to nowhere can exile him, cause he the enchanment enters the battlefield first, then exile him. so he is not a direct target of a spell, can be exile
